To start off this is the official thank you thread because it says it in the subject but that's not important here..let's get started.

Remember when we all pretty much thought he was going to be THAT stud RB after the Oklahoma game a couple seasons ago and then played pretty mediocre last year? I'm pretty sure a lot of us thought he wasn't going to pan out....So happy he ended up being that generational talent he proved he was in HS. His vision is the best I've seen at Bama and is something that truly makes him elite. I don't care what he's projected to do in the NFL draft because that's not winning us games. I don't think I've ever seen another RB go about his business and work for a team like Henry has this year. He has absolutely carried this offense and it's been pretty special to watch. Mr Henry....this one is for you. I salute you. we're not worthy we're not worthy!!!!!!

WARNING

NEGATIVES are below feel free to add any if I missed but I think I covered most.

He's too tall for a RB and should've played LB...He runs too upright....he's not fast enough....he teeth are throwing up gang signs....he has a nice car purchased by head SEC official Tom Ritter....those are the only negatives besides being too tall and not fast enough and not having a lower center of gravity and having cars purchased by head officials. That's all I can think of....feel free to add to the negatives.

Saban has been pretty lucky -- well, it's top-notch coaching, obviously, but sometimes even coaching can't get through to a kid -- in his RBs, from Coffee to Ingram to Lacy to Yeldon to Henry, all RBs that put in the effort and determination to carry your teams over the long haul(I'm omitting Richardson because I personally saw him as more talented than nose-to-the-grindstone, but that's just a personal opinion.) Your observation could easily apply to any of them in their time. I'd also add Cooper because Cooper seemed like a really good kid who worked hard even when talent alone would have propelled him forward.

You're right in every way but those players had other very talented offensive players around them.....Henry has a true freshman and that's pretty much it. Henry this year has been the true definition of a workhorse and deserves that stiff arm trophy as much as any player I've seen win it(some bias).

We have zero RB depth and is really the only time this has been an issue and we're one win away from a #2 seed in the playoffs(depending on outcomes tomorrow) and another Heisman trophy. It's a great GREATTTTTTTT time to be an Alabama fan.

Cooper is the most talented player in the Saban era. He is a generational talent and will continue to shine in the NFL. I tune into Oakland games just to watch him. Love Coop.

Saban has been pretty lucky

According to SECranters...Saban is the luckiest coach in America and one of the only reason Alabama has won titles of late.....you can't make this shite up man....just ask an Auburn fan.

JuiceTerry and I, among a few others, always saw Henry's brilliance, and we fully expected this.

He's the only 240 llb back that isn't a true power back. Big boy can move and he made a believer out of me.

a TIP-O-THE-HAT to SIR HENRY

honestly never expected henry to develop into the back he is today. happy to be wrong. big wishes for his heisman run. but moreso on his natty run with the team. he displays the attitude of team first the rest second.
