Oh he definitely could be. I think if you know how to scheme it transcends level of competition, but going from Princeton and an Ivy League schedule to Alabama and an SEC schedule is still a huge change.

It would be a high risk high reward move for sure. If it doesn't work out we could waste the most talented offense in school history for a second year. If it does work out we get to have the same OC for at least a few years and our offense becomes pretty innovative.

The best example of this would be Chip Kelly going from New Hampshire to Oregon.

Now, obviously, he has been a terrible head coach, but he made the jump seamlessly and Oregon became a powerhouse under his offense.

Bring in Gleeson as Co-OC/QB Coach and then hire another Co-OC/WR Coach

He also says we've interviewed the OL coaches at FIU and Memphis, and are looking at Lance Taylor (formerly of the Panthers) for WR coach.

Derek Dooley
Larry Fedora
Hugh Freeze
Chip Long
Bobby Petrino
Dan Werner

Edit: none of this appears based on known information. Just throwing names out there.

Michigan State fans said the same thing in 1997.

That list outside of Chip is vomit inducing... Chip isnt a personal fave but I can at least trick myself into getting excited for him coming.

I wouldn’t mind Fedora. Heard him speak at a coaching clinic and he talked for 1 hour on details of one specific screen play

His QB coaching was abysmal... He got nothing out any of the QB's who weren't ready made products (Marquise and Trubisky)

Fedora would be a really good get in my opinion.
I don't see Freeze leaving his new coaching gig. The Bama OC job is better than his job, but I'm just not sure he would do that.

I'd rather have Long or Gleeson. Those NC offenses were fine from what I watched, but I've read enough from their fans about how they felt about those offenses and I want no part of that.
