What makes you think Hurts and the OL holds up? The OL hasn't been dominant these last two games. Our defense (due in large part to the injuries) had just two TFLs and 1 sack. We barely put pressure on their QB. I think we could beat Clemson but to say we are way better than them after just two games is just being a homer.

At this point we don't have a pass rush. That Clemson kid would have all day to sit there and carve us up (especially Baker Mayfield).
We need to find a way to get pressure on QBs without blitzing every down.

Let me head this off before it becomes the next Hurts can't throw thread. The defense played super base, mush rush. We didn't blitz at all. Relax.

I'm speaking more along the lines of what we saw against FSU.
We needed to blitz in order to get pressure. The only lineman I saw who could make their own play with adding other pressure was basically Raekwon Davis.

Yesterday I watched Payne bust through their line at least 5 times. They ditched the ball quick. and Hall and Evans back to the fold and we get pressure every down IMO. Let SDH and Mac play ILB.

They looked pretty comfortable to me back there. The same way Francois was comfortable in the first half of the FSU game.
It wasn't until we started blitzing damn near every down that we finally rattled, then broke him.
My concern is for the games where we can't blitz but need to pressure. It is a concern.

It would definitely be nice. Don't forget, though, that Tomlinson was a legitimate high-level college talent. He was drafted in the third round, after all. It was good to see Dwight in there making a play for sure.

I was starting to doubt it reading this board. I was losing faith in our coaches, quarterback, pass rush. The only good thing in a 31-point win was our kicker, apparently.
