Pass pro was average at best and the run game was very much hit or miss. Chavis has frustrated our run game for years going back to LSU, so was it a scheme issue or just man on man losing battles?

We weren't awful but we certainly werent good.

Scheme and inside we were just getting beat. Similar to the FSU game our guards just getting whipped early on some plays. Plus AM was crashing down hard with their safety Watts (23). Similar to the old LSU games.

We tried the one RB screen but unfortunately one AM lineman stayed home. Looked like a big play.

Yea, felt like A&M was gang rushing the line. Credit to them, that usually results in a bunch of big runs but they only really gave up 1 or 2.

Maybe it was lack of possessions but AM didn't seem to respect our downfield threat when Ridley was out. Obviously if Foster makes a few catches things are different.

The last throw to Foster was money though, DB made the right play to interfere though.

Yea, we felt out of sorts all night.

That last drive that ended with the FG was pretty clutch, though. Clutch throw from Jalen and clutch runs to really seal the game.

BB was a little banged up and missed two days of practice. He has been solid all year, so I'm guessing that was his problem.

Womack needs to be on the bench.

Cotton is being Cotton, things still haven't clicked yet.

Womack had several really good blocks.

Looks like OL's gonna really struggle against the better defenses (Auburn and Georgia). I don't feel good about the offense at all after last night.

i'm not going to over react to a single game, but was definitely not a good performance by the oline - particularly in the second half.

not sure we are going to be able to run the ball like we want against the good D's we are fixing to face. So something is going to have to change with the passing game to open up our running game.

Wasn't TAMU ranked pretty high vs the run tho?

Offense left some plays on the field. The drive Robert Foster single handedly ruined himself stands out.

Missed FG.

Ridley drop

Pass Jalen led Cam Sims out of bounds

Good win, but plenty of stuff to improve on. Tough environment too. All on all, I was pleased

Yeah, they highlighted a few Womack blocks that sprung Damien Harris.

The o-line was fine. They were stunting and blitzing most of the night. Bama is everyone's Super Bowl so we get an increased effort out of our opponents.

He'd have an excuse if he had a single hand.

Until Jalen can prove that he can beat a team with his arm we will see game plans similar to A and M. Teams will stack the box and force us to consistently throw it down the field. Any defense with a pulse can create situations like this. He is taking baby steps in his development. I don't think it will matter much until Auburn. He has some time to get better and he will.

I posted this in another thread but I think Chavis just has our number. He creates a game plan and sticks with it.

vs aTm

9 TFL for 28 yds
3 sacks
2 QH

vs Clemson in NCG

7 TFL for 20yds
0 sacks
0 QBH

Number 2 in sacks

But hey it’s jalens fault and we can’t convince anyone our offense just had some issues last night.
