Off season topic: Who remembers the Zebra Lounge in Mobile?

And if you do. Do you have any interesting stories about it?
It was on DIP (Dauphin Island Parkway) and sort of an interesting little haunt with a darkened, jungle themed look. Rumored to have been owned by an organized crime figure. I always heard that if you had "business" that needed to be handled, one of your first stops might be the Zebra.

The Zebra Club. Its still there. I've never been there though.

I lived on Rosedale and would frequent the Zebra quite often.A group of musicians would play there on weekends. What I really liked was to lift the loincloth in the bathroom. Good times (i think). I miss Mobile since I moved to north Alabama.
Edit; Where are my manners? I've been a Bama fan all my life. My dad and i would sit on porch and listen to the game.

Still there, as others have noted.
I haven’t been in years. But they used to have a “jam” night and local musicians wouldn’t come and play. Occasionally you’d even see local guys who were touring with nationally known bands.
