SMH is "shakes my head", it is a sign of displeasure.

Not without a legitimate excuse such as blatant tampering. It's a PR disaster for a school not releasing a player after a coach has been let go.

It would be worth it. These are great players, but Grant has proven that he can't develop players at all. But the point is moot, because all of these players would likely stay. Mitchell has already said he is on board no matter who the coach is, and Coleman, and Norris grew up Alabama fans.

Progress reports were submitted by teachers this week. Could it have something to do with that?

I don't think the recruits we have coming in is worth keeping Grant, but I wouldn't say they'd likely be back. Coleman has gone out of his way to make it a point to the media that he chose Alabama because of Grant. The majority of people were predicting Coleman to Auburn before he committed. If Coleman goes then I'd think Mitchell would back out as well. He said he chose Alabama because of the guys they had coming in, not that he would be back regardless of anything that could happen. Coleman committing to Alabama is what sealed Mitchell's commitment. The only commitment I'd be super confident about retaining would be Riley's.

That's what it sounds like to me.

I thought I had read where bball signees can have clauses in their NLIs voiding them if there's a coaching change but I'm not sure about that.

I don't give a DAMN about recruits. They won't save the program. The right coach will. And the right coach will get good recruits anyway.

I give a DAMN about recruits, but like I said in that post recruits shouldn't play a factor in a coach's job status.

I know, but think how much worse it would be if there were exceptions like someone suggested.

With the right coach - the recruits stay and more come.

More truthful words have never been spoken, unless it is "Fire Grant." Nick Jacobs probably washed his hands of Anthony Grant, and if that's the case, I in no way blame him. I mean, why were there only three uniformed Tide players on the bench for Alabama tonight most of the night? Who else has left? I mean Texas A&M had more walk-ons than we had bench players.
