This is probably a dumb question, but is this Ole Miss defense in the same galaxy as our 2011 and 2012 defenses?

Nowhere close to the same galaxy. If our offense and their defense both play their A game, we still put up 20-30 points on them.

Our defense is better. Just wait.

No...not even close. They have literally played nobody up to this point.

That said they are very talented and I imagine that they'll be redy to deliver some hits on Saturday. They'll be some ball hawks out there.

We have better athletes. We have better coaches. We are better at an and we have played the better schedule. We win by two scores or more.

I think Ole Miss has problems that most are ignoring, they haven't looked impressive to me at any point so far this year. I'm not buying that thy looked bad against MEMPHIS because they were looking ahead, but teams sometimes play over their heads in these games, i.e., South Carolina 2010.

Yeah, they looked pretty bad against Boise until their talent & depth took over.

Ole Miss doesn't have the run game like 2010 USCe had. You can't be one dimensional and beat Alabama.

They may be able to keep it relatively close in the first half, but Bama wins by 2+ touchdowns. A five-point spread (when I got it) is the easiest money I've ever seen.

Ole Miss is a garbage team, and Bama will beat them handily.

Right Guard. If Leon Brown starts, I think we're in trouble. Nkemdiche will line up on him all day long. And the crowd noise will really hurt things on the OL against a tough front.

The coaches will put who they feel is the best out there and I am sure we have been training for the noise. Get up early and they will settle down in the stands.

- Blake Sims has never started a road game. Oxford would be wild for this game no matter what, but with GameDay coming to town for the first time, they'll never stop shouting. We've already had communication trouble at home. I'm worried we may have even more of a problem in Sims' first road game. Hopefully during the bye week the offense spent a LOT of time on this.

The real question can Bo and Ole Miss handle all the pressure of game day and the expectations to have a great game. We have many players on the roster who have been in bigger games and more on the line but when has Ole Miss. There is far more pressure on Bo and his team than Blake in my opinion. And those same communications issues will be there for them. I think we will handle the pressure a lot better than them.

Their secondary is legit. I know, Cooper put up 200 on Florida of all defenses. But these guys are good too, and they probably have better Safeties to take away those deep balls AND maybe the middle of the field. If they press and stop our screens, they MIGHT be able to limit Coop. Can White, Howard, and Drake pick up the load in the passing game?

That will be their down fall. They man up Coop and move a safety to help cover him. Cooper right now may be the best WR in CFB, but White and Jones (if healthy) are legit. Not to mention I think this is the game Howard breaks out. I personally think we have yet to see Kiffin unleash our offense and this weekend people will finally see it.

quote:

Can Yeldon get going? We've had trouble running between the tackles, and Yeldon is under 5 YPC on the season after an abysmal rushing performance vs Florida. Ole Miss has a good front, can Yeldon get back to form? If not, and Henry/Drake are running well, will we feed the hot hands?

Their D has yet to face a team with the RBs we have. Their DL is over aggressive in my opinion. They tend to overshoot and miss tackles why trying to strip the ball. They have gotten lucky with who they have played by being sloppy. We are far more disciplined and in the end it will cost them.

quote:

And finally, who will be our corners? Is Jackson healthy? Does Saban think Tony is ready? Ole Miss has big receivers and I think we need both Tony and Eddie on the field against that size.

This is the only real question for me. I hope to see Jackson and Brown but I also think we will put a lot of pressure on Bo and without a run game he is going have to be perfect to outscore UA this Saturday.

In the end I think they have showed me this season they are undisciplined. They have the talent but lack playing as a team. Much like UGA when we beat them for the SECCG. Once they get down they will be done.

Hearing that OM is moving a WR to corner. Some of their posters think he will be covering Coop. good luck with that

Leon is a liability it's that simple, Jackson is far superior however, his high ankle sprain is hurting him. I think this is what is keeping him from the 1 spot. I hope he can heal quickly we need him for right side push.
