I want us to force Clemson to prove they can stop us from running the football.

If they do that, fine, tip your cap and expand the playbook. But until then, I want to see us run around and through them (and that includes jet sweeps).

I'm not convinced they can without committing more than base guys into the box.

Agree. I think we see a lot of run to start the game. If the Tigers can't stop it, the play book opens up.

Yea you gotta think the game plan will be ball control to keep Watson off the field.

It was pure garbage and people don't want to admit it. Everyone's hiding behind the "We are saving stuff for the NC game" line to make themselves feel better.
It is the stupidest line of thinking I've heard. Why the hell would you hold something back so late in the season? Lane just called an absolutely shitty game

This! I don't think we would have been able to do that with Kiffin calling the game

Well, this is a surprising development to see after just arriving home from Academy.

It would appear to me that the reason is pretty simple. Saban thought Kiffin was distracted and did a subpar job last week. He believes Sark will be a better option than half a Kiffin.

This is both exciting and terrifying. But, I've learned to trust Saban.

Yep - it may be TOTAL homer of me, but my first thought was "Holy shite" followed by "it can't be worse than Saturday".

Pretty much the bottom line is, he did a better job helping us prep for USC, he is a better recruiter, and he is a better developer of quarterbacks. I have no doubt in my mind that sort will be an upgrade come Monday.

I kept saying in multiple threads Kiffin was half-assing this job and already mentally in Boca and people kept bashing me, feeding me that line of shite about "saving it all for Monday." I feel vindicated.

think his excuse was not acceptable. This is the playoff you don't do the bare minimum because you "know" it's just enough.

You seemed fine with it yesterday.

I've not been fine with his answer, the part about trying to protect Hurts from an NFL secondary makes sense, but the bare minimum comment isn't ok.
