In times like these it's tough to see the opportunities to rub shite in people's faces. All the transfers, crazy changes, new coaches... But I gotta say, now's the perfect time to remember those who hated (bookmarked a number of threads myself) and when we come out averaging 40 ppg, to keep those receipts. RTR

You could keep a fruit bowl of receipts just from this board alone.

They’ve been waiting in the shadows like hungry hyenas for years for this moment. The trolling will only continue once Bama has their first loss. But contrary to what most think this isn’t the Shula years all over again, I don’t think he’s Harsin 2.0 and the he can’t recruit the south crowd is BS. If we’ve learned anything over the past week it’s $ talks, not the region where the head coach has ties.

That’s why I stopped even caring what anyone says. When someone is wrong and you pull the receipts all it takes is a “I’m happy to be wrong” and all is well. There’s no real accountability for bad takes…even for paid analysts.

It’s never as satisfying as it should be. Even against rival fans. They just bring up something else unrelated in an attempt to troll.

We could go undefeated and beat UGA 52-0 next year and opposing fans will still talk shite.

Yep. I posted the other day it’s a waste of time to try to engage on the Rant and argue with them (even though I’m guilty as well). Best thing to do is let them crow for now and in 9-12 months we can bump some threads and have fun.

Unfortunately this is also true for “friendly” Tide fans on this board as well. We’ve got a couple resident sad saps.

i liken the poor sad saps on here now, to the ones that wanted to keep shula instead of saban. some folks just dont handle change very well. unfortunately, it seems their only outlet is to try to drag everyone else into that dark hole with them. oh well... that's what the scroll right on by button was made for.

Saban recruited the whole country and started finding success with players out on the west coast, a place where DeBoer can recruit.

Not to mention with Kirby locking down UGA, Norvell doing well in FL, along with our neighbors on either side with Freeze and Kiffin even with Saban we had to go out of the south.

Saban was a great recruited but the product on the field was always the driving force behind the long term sustainability. Now with the 12 team playoff DeBoer can take a loss maybe 2 each season in the beginning and still make it. This transition should not be a tough as so many of our rivals believe as wee as our inhouse ledge junpers.
