On SC now with Linda Cohn, talking about how he prepares before practice, and how he does the little things. He said forget about all the accolades he received prior. He has earned the respect of the veterans and you can tell he was taught well at Alabama on being "professional " and Linda chimed in saying Nick Saban gets his players ready for the NFL.

Amari has always been a silent, all-business guy. He is like the anti-Terrell Owens or Chad Johnson.
He doesn't talk a big game, because he lets his demeanor and play speak for him. Easy for someone like him to garner respect immediately.

Cooper is just a different breed. Not sure it was much to do with Alabama.

Yeah he was that way coming in from high school

It's gonna suck so bad when the Chargers(my team) has to play against him... He's gonna rape our secondary in the worst possible way...

Cooper is one of my favorite all time players. He never talks shite, he just lets his abilities speak for him. He was virtually uncoverable while at UA, it was amazing. He is not only more talented than most of the defenders he plays against, but he works harder then they do too. He has HOF potential.

It's amazing. And most guys who work that hard or almost that hard will go out of their way to tell everyone about it. They're almost annoying. He does it and doesn't seem to care who knows or who gives him credit. He's a superstar with the mindset of a scrub who HAS to outwork everyone on the planet to even see 3rd team reps.
I've never pulled for someone to dominate the league in my life. I hope he destroys it from day one.

When he came out of hs he could have gone nfl. He ran the best routes of any freshman we have had at Bama. Just a great talent, and a better person.

If i take him before the 4th round in my fantasy draft, will i be reaching?

That's tough.
As far as Amari goes, with the way he runs routes and such, he should be good right away. But he plays for the Raiders, and that makes it a bit risky.
Find out where he is on the projected rankings list. Figure out what round players in that ranking are likely to be drafted. Most people just pick the next highest rank at the position they need. Then take him 1 round earlier if you want him on your team.
And if you are playing against other Alabama fans, you are probably going to have to make a choice on if you want to win, or if you want to have Alabama players on your team. The cool thing about online leagues is you can horde them and nobody cares.
What round are you taking Julio in?

Way too early, will the Raiders o-line give Carr time to throw?
I wouldn't take a rookie that early.

Yep, it certainly could pay off but the smart money says take him later than that. I'm sure Al Davis would approve though
