I feel like he should be on the side of a milk carton. Was expecting good things from him in the pass rush.

most of the front 7 starters and a number of back ups are juniors and seniors.

I remember them saying something about they'll play him more when he gets more consistency against the run

Any way to look up how many snaps he's had?

I'm sure there is, I just know that he played more as a true freshman last year. Seeing SDH out there a lot more this year.

When he played against MTSU, he had a hard time getting off of blocks

He should have made their RT look like Dom Jackson going against their LE.

Do they play the same LB position?

No.

SDH is an inside LB, Evans is an OLB edge player.

I didn't think so. Evans is only 3 games into his sophomore year. He has time to work out technique

y'all ever notice we have an automatic response for never seeing the legit pass rushers on the field. just the other night hand gt serious pressure on kelly even had a sack. i dont recall seeing him again after that, admittedly i could have missed it. but this is par for the course. we recruit great pass rushers then never play them, they arent good enough against the run. even when we play teams that dont really run, they aint good enough against the run. smh......

Something to note is that we aren't always necessarily trying to sack the qb. Of course a lot of the time we are trying to get after the qb and sack him...but not always. Sometimes we play contain against qb's that can hurt us against the run so they dont run up the field pass the qb leaving huge running lanes for the qb. So some of it is by design. Of course at the same time if you let him sit back there all day anyone will pick you apart. Honestly I think a lot of it just comes down to execution.

I can agree that with how many fast paced no huddle offenses we play we need to have more versatile guys. We typically can't sub as much as we would like and it hurts us. I know I've seen Saban mention it in interviews though hopefully it turns around.
