Cam Robinson, Amari Cooper, and OJ Howard are first round talents?

I'm with you, dude. This team reminds me of the last winning Fulmer team for Tennessee. Just good enough to look lucky against bad teams and bad against good teams.

What the hell are you talking about " our dynasties over " ?
We have a first year QB who regressed on the road, maybe we should have went with the other qb, its clear Simms only targets Cooper and can't read what thw defense is giving, maybe he turns it around at home.
We have our center out, I am pretty sure Henry is banged up, and we lost a starter on the D-Line last week. And we lost Drake a key cog to our offense.
Our defense went on the road and gave up 23 and 13 and most if those points came off of offensive miscues.
This team will play better at home and grow into a great team.
We have only LSU and Tennessee left on the road.
LSU can't seem ti stop the run, they aren't a spread team so I see a good chance of winning.
We should also beat Tennessee but it will be tough.
So Miss St, TAMU and Auburn at home should be games we win.
The biggest problem I see is Simms isn't an elite qb and doesn't get us in the proper play vs the opponents defense, and we seem to always snap the ball late, giving the defense an edge.
The qb needs to have comand, Simms doesn't, yes he can throw, but he doesn't know how to read a defense, or else he wouldn't be forcing the ball to Cooper on every play.
If we can get better at qb we can wun it all

Yeldon was also banged up in the week leading up. Arie as well.
This is the one thing that bugs me is that we seem to be overlooking the slight injury bug we have right now.
Our true #2 option at WR can't seem to stay healthy same as Eddie Jackson.
BS hasn't looked the same since he his shoulder injury against UF. Not sure how much that matter though.
Missing a key weapon in Drake. Missing our starting center.
I just don't have the sky is falling opinion that a lot of people on here seem to have.
Our one loss was on the road against a team that is about to be around #1 in country and we had a chance to beat them in the closing seconds.
Thankfully for us it seems like a lot of the mistakes we are making are fixable ones.

Arkansas is a ten win team next year. Majority of teams won't be able to stop their offense b/c folks are so worried about the spread O.

I thought the defense showed some passion and pride. The more I watch football the more I think the key to how good a team can be is the offensive line, and ours isn't good. That fourth and a football length would have been converted before and they couldn't even get us that much of a push.
How about starting with the QB actually going forward instead of jumping straight up.

We will not get to the playoff with our current QB. He is incapable of reading defenses and making adjustments. We have now burned three timeouts because he telegraphed a play, the defense adjusted, and had to look to the sideline because he had no clue what to do. He has tunnel vision when in the pocket and continues to throw to a WR who is double covered. At least give the WR a chance but he throws to the numbers of the DB. Sorry but no excuse for someone that has been in the program for 5 years and looks like someone that has never played the position. I would be happy giving Cornwell a chance right now. Kiffin is not opening the offense up because Sims could not handle the play book which seems to consist of about half a dozen plays for Sims that he can handle.
OL not as concerned. Kelly out hurts and we have a true freshman at LT. I think overall they have done well but lack a leader on the line that was one of our strong suits in the past with this team with B Jones and Fluker. It also does not help Yeldon instead of hitting the hole dances in the backfield before he gets there. Yeldon seems to try and break off big plays every time he gets the ball when sometimes he should just follow the play.
In regards to the RB not sure why Tenpenny is not getting used with Drake out. Yeldon still looks hindered from whatever is nagging him. TP practiced with the ones last week. Our RBs in the past MI, TR, and EL always gained positive yards and were great at getting 3 to 4 yards a play. Right now only Henry seems to do that. But it happens mainly when we run between the tackles. We continue to run out of the shotgun and to the outside to no avail.
WR we need to get Black and others involved and on the field. Was glad to see C Sims out there. D White is not 100%. And OJ has a great catch and some hard earned yards after the catch and never is an option again after that. But until we get a QB who can read a D and look for the best options our WRs might as well not suit up and the same for Howard. I just hope Ridley does not look elsewhere because of the offense, and understands he will have a different QB with him.
Special teams I guess special is a good word here. They need to just show up to game on the short bus. I do not even know where to begin. Maybe it should start with me sending Saban an email saying on punt returns please use no returners. Have 11 block and let the ball land where it does.
Our defense is the one saving grace right now and the only unit that seems to improve each week. Yes some things still need to be fixed but we look to improve each week. It is good enough to get us 10 wins this season, but with our lack luster offense we can not expect any defense to do much more.
Yes this is my post game rant but I am to the point I am not sure I can watch another game with Sims at QB. It is disappointing to see this much talent on the field but yet to be utilized because of the inability to direct the offense. As a player I think Sims has talent but not as a QB. I would rather see him in place of C Jones. Sims is athletic enough to do the same things. I believe he can run, catch the ball out of the slot, and you could include some sweeps with him where he could even throw the ball. He would be great in designed plays that he is a role in but not at the helm making the overall decisions.

It's called lies. There's no way an Alabama fan "couldn't be happier" about last nights game. What that implies is that you're just as happy as you are after that win as you would have been about a 52-0 blowout where we executed the gameplan. We looked like hot dogshit. Arkansas has a mediocre defense and they stonewalled us all night. We made JV level mental errors. It was an abomination.
Posted on 10/12/14 at 9:40 am to TideWarrior
At least one of those throws that hit a DB in the numbers was Cooper's fault for freelancing instead of running his route.
Posted on 10/12/14 at 9:41 am to Riseupfromtherubble
We get the rest of our tough games at home. We need our center back or to fix something on the online going foreward and this is the biggest issue hands down. Sims is not and was never supposed to be the qb that would win all the games for us. We have to run the football. Defense played very well yesterday after being on the field for 13 minutes in the first quarter, major major props to them for holding late in the game.
Also I wish people would quit saying this team doesn't have any heart, that is just dead wrong

I agree. If anyone doesn't have heart, it's some of our fans who are ready to throw in the towel.

Agree. Blake sims, a 5th year senior who waited around to finally start, having no heart is laughable. We would have caved after arky went up last night, or the d would have given in after being in the field for so long.

No the dynasty is over when you hit 5+ losses. Heck I'd say Bryant had 2 dynasties because he had some rough patches and a spell where we couldn't win a bowl game to save our lives.

It's called denial. It's beyond me how any Alabama fan could say "couldn't be happier" after watching that game with those mistakes & poor play.

My solution which probably isn't endorsed by many here would be to play kids based on passion and work ethic. To hell with who is the "best", play the kids with who want it most.

NS has proven over time that he plays upper classman ahead of underclassman unless an underclassman is a stud. And right now we have few underclassman that are studs in college. NOw next year we have a few frosh and RS frosh who may help like Hump and Brown (who will be a soph)

I was hoping to see Tyron Jones more with Drake out. Kid seems to run with some ferocity.

The problem is a lot of our upperclassmen are playing like fricking morons.
