The Alabama defensive line is for real, but we will game plan to minimize this advantage by playing fast and getting the ball out quickly. A lot of the plays will be attacking the perimeter wings with either quick passes or runs where our big physical WRs can block. We will roll Watson away from the defensive pressure giving him a run throw option which he excels at. We will keep their LBs honest with quick read option plays, or Watson keepers where Gallman excels as a lead blocker. We will use Peak and Cain (is he back?) as deep downfield threats with Renfrow and Scott in the short pass game. The combinations of quick QB runs, Gallman runs outside, bubble screens, and quick slants, while picking our chances for deep balls will attack them in enough different ways to give them fits. And Watson is very capable of doing this. This is why our Offense will succeed despite their dominance on the Dline.

On D we have a great Dline our self. We also have very athletic and strong players in the back 7 willing to come up and fill gaps and help slow down the run game. Mackensi will hold down Ridley as a shutdown corner allowing the rest of the secondary to contain the rest of their WRs. Coker will not be able to have the success he had vs MSU despite our persistence to stop their running attack with Henry. We can do this!

I don't believe Cain is coming back.

Interestingly, Clemson chose not to have Alexander shadow Shepard in the Orange Bowl. When Alexander was covering him, he caught nothing in 4 targets. When Alexander was not covering him, Shepard caught 7 for 87 yards. I don't know how many of those were from out of the slot, but it may be worth playing Ridley there.

Believe the two long balls for Ridley were caught with him being in the slot. Kiffin will no doubt move him (and Drake) around to create the matches he wants.

Still like the I formation with Henry as the HB.......so many things to do off this that have not been seen by anyone (Power Dive, Sweep, Triple Option)

When Dabo announced the suspension prior to the Orange Bowl, he said the 3 suspended players would not play in the National Championship, if they won the Orange Bowl.

A Clemson homer had better hope for an awful game from Coker because thats the only shot they have at winning this game.

If Bama loses the turnover battle by 2 they have a shot at a title.

Also think Clemson really needs to get off to a quick start. This will make Bama play a game they are not comfortable with. 1st quarter lead much more important in this game than most IMO.

This Bama Front is simply too much at the college level. Clemson will be one dimensional. If Watson tries to run the ball 20+ times like he did vs OU I'm not sure he finishes this game.

Might as well start it now... "if only Watson had not got broken."

Bingo. Clemson will want to dictate the pace of the game and put pressure on our offense to the point where we need to score points, not just control the game.
