Any Alabama fan with a passing knowledge of the gymnastics team have heard of "the streak"

for thos uninformed, here's the key stat.

Alabama Gymnastics has beaten Auburn 116 times, in a row. Holy hell.

Auburn last emerged victorious in 1979 when Alabama still competed in Foster Auditorium. Alabama's new head coach, 22 year old Sarah Patterson would never lose to Auburn again.

The two programs went in different directions as Alabama shot into the elite of the nation, winning SEC and National Titles, Auburn chugged along, making a nationals appearance in 1993.... and most recently, in 2015.

Sarah Patterson retired in 2014, taking her 0.909 winning percentage vs Auburn with her. Her prodigy Dana Duckworth took the helm and would have to face a rising Auburn Tiger team (under year 3 of a very competent new coaching staff) a record six times in one season. When the dust had settled, Alabama finished 4th in the nation and Auburn finished 6th. Of their multiple match ups, Alabama finished with a 6-0 mark against the school down the road. "The Streak" lives on into 2016. May it live on forever.

#Respect

#BeatAuburn

#RollTide

(oh yeah, Bama has won the SEC against a widely favored olympian filled Florida Gator team... twice)

The domination goes beyond football and gymnastics too. Alabama leads the series 93-58 in men's basketball, including winning 37 of the last 56 meetings, and 6 of the last 8. Despite the emergence of Pearl, the only reason Auburn is considered a rival in basketball is their name alone. Alabama has as many sweet 16 appearances as they have NCAA Tournament appearances TOTAL.

For college baseball, Alabama leads 137-114. Alabama has been the much more successful program, leading the SEC in all time wins, making it to the CWS 5 times, and being a runner up twice.

I don't know the series in softball, but yeah, Alabama probably leads by a big margin. Even with one of their best teams ever at home last year vs Bama, they couldn't win the series. It won't change.

In conclusion: frick Auburn
