I honestly believe that Saban has coddled the coordinators a bit too much because he values continuity in a higher regard at this stage in his career

I think this is probably an excellent point

What’s woke about Coach Saban? Be specific. Trying to nail down that term. I will then begin an immersive self study in tinfoil hat design in an effort to relate it to coaching football.

After watching Sark’s post game press conference, we were lucky to win. It took TX being down 1.5 qb to stop them offensively. This was the most disappointing part of the game for me. I expected struggles on offense, but thought the defense would be a beast.

Sark schemed our two pass rushers out of the game. We didn’t seem to anticipate that, even though Saban said to a reporter, he knows Sark as well as Sark knows Bama. And we didn’t make any adjustments until very late in the game and until the qb became immobile.

The other big red flag was the fourth and short call. Why is a shot gun play even on the call sheet in that situation? What can be more anti- Alabama football, than running from the shot gun on fourth and six inches.

It almost feels as if Saban has taken a “ceo” position and is letting his coaches run their “departments”. I guess that’s fine if you have great dept managers.

Is this a result of hiring so many former head coaches? Saban has so much respect for them, he doesn’t want to interfere?

Whatever is going on, this loss felt different. I’m still grateful and appreciative for Saban and all the players and will be rooting for the Tide the rest of the season.

20-19 score would seem to validate that

I never expected a 20 pt victory.

#1 team in the country,

Means nothing when the same people had Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas A&M, Utah, and Baylor all in the top 10. Unlike all of those teams Alabama did not get upset and neither Saban or anyone else said they are satisfied with the overall performance but happy to get the win in a game that easily could have gone the other way.

It’s different, but it’s not that bad right now.

Guys, I know we can vastly improve, but I am appreciative that we are still dominating college football. One day, it will come to an end.

Trust me…. As a life long Pats fan also… I know. Not saying we shouldn’t criticize…. BUT Enjoy this Alabama dynasty. Enjoy it….

We won our first tough road game with a re-tooled team with lots of new faces on a 11:00 am kickoff, in a hostile environment when it's 120 degrees on the field.....against a team that has talent against our former OC who knows all our tendencies and is the best play caller in the game

Jesus some of you people suck

Thank you!!!! Texas has a good team and wins like this build character. Also this is week TWO!!!! Rankings mean exactly Jack Schitt.... For all we know they could end up being a top 10 team. Dark is an offensive wizard and he MIGHT have learned some of Saban's philosophy and schemes from the time he was in Tuscaloosa. However, I'm probably wrong based on some of the estrogen fueled chicken Littles here.

I don't agree with everything Saban says and does and he could care less... But if you're panicking and calling for heads to roll after 2 games and WINNING both, then you're one of the entitled fans that he was referring to during that infamous rant last year...

Like it or not EVERYONE gives Bama their best shot. Beating Bama has gotten some.coachws contract extensions and if a team beats Bama, they'll ALWAYS remember it...

I truly hope that none of the players read the garbage that some of you post .. Also, you have my permission to downvote me if I my post struck a nerve. If it did then you might want to go RUN to Walmart before closing, and get more Midol...

So, you're telling me that if you had an employee that has a horrible attitude, shows up unprepared for work every day, horrible customer service, but still got the work done... You'd be ok with that? It's not just about the result, it's about the way you get there. Yes, we win and I'm glad. However, it was ugly. LOL!
