Interesting matchup going forward. Barnett threw some nice balls, Hurts showed he knows how to command an offense.

Both have three years left after this season, do we go for a true dual QB rotation?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I said it in the other thread but hurts is faster, arm is a wash and who led the team when it mattered.

Seems Hurts is winning the team and has the demeanor you want in a starting QB. My money's on him winning the job. Barnett played well once he settled down though.

Winning the job? He already won it. Barnett didn't go back in until the game was over. Barnett won't start again unless Hurts helps him.

Barnett looked good, when we had a huge lead. Hurts was poised even when things weren't great and the lead wasn't big.

I hope we just put it to rest and roll with Hurts.

Hurts is probably the guy going forward. Barnett came back in and played well, but Hurts led the way when thing weren't great and seemed to have won over the team. Everyone seemed to up their play once he got in there.

It sucks because Barnett will likely transfer out if Hurts starts and Barnett showed he can be really good tonight

If I remember correctly Barnett's plan was to graduate in 3 years. If he is on schedule it would make no sense for him to transfer since he'd have to sit out next year anyway. If he stays at Alabama he can play next year then transfer anywhere he wants after graduating.

This. Agree all the way. Hurts seems to have the confidence of the team that blake doesnt have. Blake has talent, but the lights seemed overwhelming. I think he would fold under pressure right now honestly. He is so scared of making mistakes he just freezes. Now that might subside with playing time but IMO no way you sit Hurts for him. If Hurts goes down with an injury, Blake is a great option. Hopefully both come along against WKU and we have a clear cut leader in time for old miss.
