Been to plenty of games in Pelham and its awesome. I love the atmosphere. Would love to see them make this jump. The program has been fairly competitive.

Tennessee has a great wrestling scene, and UT-Chattanooga has a great wrestling program. That is only 2.5 hours from Tuscaloosa. UTC uses local southeastern talent. They always have a few All-Americans.
A SEC school could have a lot of success in wrestling.
I also wrestled on the club team, but I wouldn't call it a club team. It was a wrestling club, that on the rare occasion went to a team competition (I retired as 1-0 in my college career). We had more newcomers than we did veteran wrestlers. We didn't have a coach. As a team effort, wrestling has to be an organized program. Not an open gym and hope enough people show up to form a team.
Hockey would be fun and I'd go to some games if I was ever in the area, but I'm biased and wanna see wrestling back.

I don't think you'd see a club team turn into a scholarship program. I think you'd see a scholarship program built. Very low cost team to have, at least.

I'd prefer a Men's soccer team first, but I'd still love for us to have a D1 hockey team.

If they build a rink in Tuscaloosa do you guys think they'd try an adult league and try to bring in a semi pro team as well?
I'd love to play in an adult league, I played in a league in Memphis when I was in HS.
