In 2015 I adopted two four-year-old Weimaraners and re-named them Lane and Kirby. True story.

Decided on Rocco.

He is a great dog but he has Comedo Syndrom. It's hereditary skin condition in Miniature Schnauzer's where their skin gets really dry and hair falls out.

They old lady who had him either didn't know how to treat it or wasn't able to so her neighbor took him in and put him up for adoption. Well, Mrs. TideSaint is somewhat of a healer so she has taken the challenge head-on. There are no fewer than a dozen different remedies currently sitting on my kitchen island as well as 2-3 types of shampoo that help with this issue.

Hope to have him looking healthy by the Summer.

Call him Gus, short for asparagus.

Do you want him to knock up every bitch on your block? Because that's how you'll end up with puppies.

Should've called him Patches.

I’ve had mini schnauzers all my life, congrats! We always go for German sounding names, like Liesel, Hildi, etc. You could go the pun route like Wolfgang (or Wolf for short), or if you have kids and it’s a girl you could go with Elsa.

ETA: just saw it’s a boy, so scrap the second one

Call him something that he can pick up more clearly

I'm going to say José is a good name, rolls off the tongue, more recognizable towards your dog etc

I also lived in San José so I'm biased here

We have a female mini schnauzer already, along with a Havanese and a Havanese-Maltipoo mix.

I never thought I would have 3 dogs at one time, let alone four.
