Time for him to hit the airwaves and start turning up the heat on the playoff committee. I hate that politicking has to be a part of it, but it is. Time for him to start making his conference's case.

Much easier for Sankey to just put a finger on the scale Saturday evening in MBS.

Unfortunately, if Bama wins it stands a chance of no SEC school being in the top four. So Sanky will be pulling for the Pups on Saturday. I may be wrong but if Bama wins and all these other teams win out as well it creates a nightmare for the committee to straighten out. I'm afraid any SEC school would be outside. The Bama hate and SEC hate is strong enough to give them what they have wanted for a few years. Am I thinking in the right direction?

As will EVERYONE on the playoff committee. They either have if fall in their lap, or they'll be hated by millions of fans [for whichever programs they leave out].

Coming back to this. Instead of spending the week making an affirmative case for Alabama in case we won, Sankey dismissed any chance the SEC would be left out and laughed about it. If the SEC gets left out of the playoff, SEC AD's should consider new, stronger leadership for the conference imo.
