I dunno, I thought both of them were pretty good today. I did get sick of hearing about Manziel and Verne's "announcement" about his incident was just odd.

Otherwise I actually enjoy hearing them call the games. It's comfortable, I guess.

I've never even remotely come close to hating someone in sports as much as I hate Gary.

He really doesn't like Bama because Saban doesn't kiss his arse and go out of his way like other SEC coaches to stroke Gary's ego.

It's funny when so many people claim that Gary is "obviously a closet Bama fan".

Every play is an excuse for the other team, or a negative for bama, or a confirmation of some broad prediction he made earlier in the game. I am so fricking sick of listening to his shite every bama game

The book illustration during the game after every play was annoying.

I wanted to take a book and hit him in the head with it.

I am with you. I turn on the TV to watch the f ing game, not to be tutored by a washed up former QB. That book shite pisssed me off, perhaps it was a decent analogy, but save it for a re-cap show. Not a game. Gary tries to put too much attention onto himself; we aren't tuning into to hear you Gary, we want to watch a football game. It's not the Gary Danielson Show. The guy does know his shite, but there is a time and a place.
All of these announcers need to realize that we are watching a game on TV - it's not radio, they don't have to talk non-stop - a little silence is ok for the love of God.

I actually completely disagree with you. I think Gary is great and has an affinity for Bama.

Gary has to constantly tell us how smart and right he is.

Both of them never stop talking.

Their commentary is way too high in the sound mix.

Too many commercials.

It's really amazing going and watching an ESPN broadcast after hearing CBS after CBS. The ESPN guys realize they don't have to fill every second with chatter, and their voices aren't so high in the damn mix.
