It disgusts me. We are laughed at and made fun of for being Bama fans and for living in Alabama. It would be ok if it was once in a while but it's multiple times a day and frankly I am tired of being made fun of and being the only one with the stones to take a stand.
If you think it's cool to be called a Gump or trailer trash then frick you. Otherwise take a stand. Don't put up with it, it makes us look like pussys. At least RA any negative speech directed at Bama fans like Gump etc.

Forrest Gump, though fictional, accomplished more as an idiot-savant than any other person in the history of mankind. Why would I respond negatively?

Gump is not a pejorative. Dude was awesome and wildly successful. I don't live in bama so sorry about your inferiority complex, but I do live in the heart of gator country and the locals are extremely similar... big deal we are in the south and trailers and rednecks are everywhere. I rather enjoy it vs the large metropoli I've travelled to. Embrace it and move forward man.

I honestly don't care about being called a gump. It doesn't rustle my jimmies. I know that I am not married to my sister, live in a trailer, or a sidewalker who gains all of my worth from UA football.
I also know that most Auburn fans don't act like little brother, and most LSU fans don't smell like corndogs. It's a message board, a world of absurdities, a place where jimmies are meant to be rustled and wit is your only defense.
Step back a little and gain some perspective.

I always wondered why those that live in Alabama take so much redneck shite from the Cajuns. Ive lived in 2 different towns/cities in Louisiana and they take a back seat to no one in trashiness. Quite often im one of the few on the Rant that are actually calling them out on this hilarious hypocrisy and i dont even live in Alabama. Southerners calling other southerners rednecks is about as dumb as it gets. And thats before bringing up the fact that there are plenty of poors in the north and whats the difference between living in a shitty slum hole apt than living in a trailor. I'd take that shite from no one.

So blackpawnmartyr is the only other one who doesn't mind taking a stand for ride fans and the state of Alabama. Well fine, you fricking gumps can take the abuse from other posters with a smile since it doesn't bother you. Sellouts.

2011, the first game in Auburn after the death of the tree, I had this old Auburn fan wanting to fight me. He called me an Updyke the entire game. Told me to take my arse home, and I told him I live 30 minutes away. Rammer Jammer had him saying "frick you."

I've personally always embraced the bammer. I don't think I've seen many self-proclaimed Gumps. Generally I've always thought of Gumps as the crazy, overly sensitive, constant crimson shade wearing rednecks.
It's a message board during the offseason. The only time I get rustled is during the season, after a loss. And then I just avoid certain boards for a few days.
