Until he can learn to block consistently he wont be a big target
he is in there blocking all the time. thats the only thing he is doing.

But the TE has never been a priority in a Lane Kiffin offense.

In 2009, Luke Stocker was Tennessee's 3rd leading receiver, with 29 catches for 389 yards and 5 touchdowns...including one very clutch catch against us that almost got us beat. 2 catches a game, 5 TD's, no telling how many targets. Sounds like he was a pretty high priority for a TE. Far and away Stocker's most productive year at UT in terms of YPC and TDs...more than his senior year.

Howard is the most physically gifted guy we've had since Julio. Just no qb to help him out.

I'm hoping that he gets some name recognition because he will be a beast in the pros. He may have problems blocking, but he is huge and really fast.

Florida is a big game for Alabama.

FIFY

Why is this game bigger to OJ Howard than our other players?

Will it determine if he is considered a bust or something?

Don't be surprised to see him lined up wide a la Jimmy Graham on Saturday.

We were never gonna show that look against WV, FAU and USM. We will in SEC play.

He doesn't need to transfer, he will jump to the NFL draft after next year and be a first round pick.

Just so happened to be on the field at the right time. Blake sims will struggle throwing passes in the middle of the field.

Exactly...its like some of you just started watching us play. When we play teams that we should beat we throw nothing but screens. I know analyst don't realize this and say we only throw to Cooper but I believe we will see our real offense. I expect to see more Drake as well. He is the threat.

Go find a game of AJ last year only throwing to one guy. He always found a bunch of targets. Blake Sims is something to worry about when talking about passing. imo

When DeAndrew was injured against WVU he had 6 catches and Amari had 9 at the time.

Blake is running what he is allowed to run, and that plan is to put the ball into the hands of the best receiver in college football right now. As the season progresses Blake will be allowed to do more, provided he doesn't start making dumb decisions. The same thing happened with AJ and Greg when they became the starters.

If Howard is targeted more and becomes productive, then good for him, but I don't want Alabama start passing to Howard just for the sake of it. If the offense is rolling by getting the ball to Cooper, White, Drake, Black, etc. in the passing game then so be it. Howard will get his passes, a long season still ahead.
