He was clearly not ready to be the man...and then he got beaten up mentally & physically.

I'm not sure if he will ever bounce back.

The coaches did that kid a disservice.

Hes been in the program what, 3 or years? How does giving him a shot do him a diservice? He did himself a diservice throwing that terrible pick for no reason when we had just tied up the game

He didn't perform poorly, with exception of one pass. As for running, it was obvious that A) him keeping on the read option was part of the game plan, B) it was WIDE open, and C) he didn't keep it.

He did some of that to himself.

Then you aren't too bright. He'll be fine. He "bounced back" all the way from the demotion to WR in the spring to starting QB in the first SEC game of the season. He doesn't seem to have "quit" in him.

A disservice? Yeah right. they gave him a chance to be the guy. He couldn't do it. I'm not sure how that could be a disservice. It's not like we threw a true freshman out there.

If he wasn't ready he should've asked to stay at WR. There was no disservice to him.

Depending on the UGA game him being "ruined" may be a moot point.

If he would have just kept a few of those reads, he would have done better than Coker.

The fact they paid him absolutely no mind on those read plays was reason enough to keep it and run outside for at least 10+ yards every time.

And eventually, they'd have to respect him. Thus, giving Henry/Drake more room. That's on him though, unless they put a restriction on when he could.

Bateman would likely have transferred to another school for an opportunity to play. He was excited about being in the mix to take over at QB. Playing QB in the SEC for Alabama aint for the faint of heart.
