Still think he looks like an orc from lord of the rings. or oracai or however its spelled.

Derrick Henry is a beast though. I think he gets too much criticism here sometimes.

He runs like a soft 190 pound back imo but he produces.

He's not soft, he just doesn't run very well with a linebacker wrapped around his ankles 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

He's a load when he gets going.

I think he's a good back who has the potential to be great if he makes some adjustments to his game. Everyone can stand to improve. i would love the staff have him watch hours of Earl Campbell game footage to give him an idea of the type of punishment he could inflict on defenders if he put his mind to it.

I'm a huge Derrick Henry fan, but even when he gets past the LOS (going up the middle), it seems he is streaky when it comes to running with power. At times he'll go down easily, at times he'll make defenders look like bitches. I'm sure he's working to do more of the latter, and I think he will. He'll probably end up with the most carries since T-Rich, excited to see what he does with them.

When he can get a crease on those sweep plays he's gone though.

baseball analogy: he is a home run hitter that strikes out too much.

we all love his ability to score big TD runs, but we'd like to see him get fewer 0-1 yard games. With the extra year in S&C and all the first team reps, he should be one of our most improved players next season.

Yep.

He's great, but could be an all-time Bama legend if he could put it all together in a consistent way.
