Per FootballScoop

quote:

Kansas: In addition to Les Miles, sources tell FootballScoop Jeff Long considers Dan Enos a candidate for the position. Enos, who currently coaches quarterbacks at Alabama, served as offensive coordinator at Arkansas for three seasons under Bret Bielema (on Jeff Long’s watch). The former Central Michigan head coach won 26 games in five seasons as head coach before leaving at the end of January 2015 to join Bielema’s staff at Arkansas.

If Kansas can get Les, they'd be stupid not to.

I think they want Les miles more than Dan Eno.

I recommended Les to them some time ago on these very forums. They took me up on it.

P.S: Leave Enos alone. He has a job to do with us.

Dan should wait until a real job opens. Kansas is the kiss of death. 15 million for a 5 year deal sounds pretty good though.

I'd rather be a QB coach for Tua than a HC just about anywhere.

A lot less pressure and a much better chance of success.

Hoping we get another year from Enos. Guy is solid.

Les would be a disaster at a place like Kansas. They don't have the recruiting talent base to pull from or the necessary financial resources invested in football for him to be able to hire good, experienced assistants.

No surprise with Jeff Long as AD at Kansas. It’s like he’s going through his list from 2012 at Arkansas, or anyone with Arkansas ties.

I think he is probably as much a reason as Locksley for our offensive proficiency this year

If they can’t get Les, they should go after Nutt or Petrino lol

Yea, that would be about as predictable a mess as you could have in a new coach.

I read somebody's article and agree with it : Kansas needs to hire one of the spread triple option coaches from the Johnson/Georgia Southern tree. Willie Fritz or someone like that. They need to be different.

And at 65, Kansas is a bad place to go. Way to easy to negative recruit.

I read the same one. It makes a lot of sense. Especially the part about Kansas football being unable to be harder to watch than it already is.

My dad went to Georgia Tech (mom and 6 of siblings went to Bama). I lived in Atlanta when Georgia Tech win the title. But it's gotten tough to watch them play. They don't need a gimmick offense to compete. But Kansas... Yeah, they probably do.
