Well, he did two things as indicated in the article posted above: (1) broke or damaged a phone and (2) threatened to assault her. Hence the two charges. However for this to be called "domestic violence" he was either in a relationship with her or he used to be in a relationship with her.

I see we aren't getting a report of the things she said.

I've seen situations like this too many times. I've dealt with crazy women who actually attempt to provoke reactions (to them it shows you care! crazy!).

I have a policy where I break off relations with any woman who says anything provocative or attempts to provoke or put me in similar situations. It's not easy, a lot of those types are the prettier ones. Shocker!

Something doesn't add up. If she wanted to save her precious phone, she had two clear choices.
1) hold it above her head out of his reach
2) Throw it to a friend 20+ yards away Either choice and he never sniffs the phone.

Gumpin' hard as frick

Seriously, was that posted by Abrel, or someone else?

Let's be honest, nobody has the right to damage anyone else's property. How would any of you feel if I came up to you, ripped your iphone out of your hand and smashed it against a wall then threatened to beat your tail? You just can't go around doing stupid stuff like that. If you are mad and have to throw something, throw your cell phone so you can't get arrested for it.

That said, these are misdemeanor charges and this is CJ's first offense in 4 years at Bama. He won't miss any time but should pay major consequences behind closed doors I hope.

that's not what happened.

this was a lover's quarrel. most people have been in a similar situation. sometimes you do things in the heat of passion that you regret, especially at 20-21 years old. no big deal

Because that scenario isn't sensationalized at all

It's ridiculous to call this domestic violence

there is a very important lesson that Cyrus needs to learn and a it's a lesson that will serve him well for the rest of his life. It's a lesson that most people learn the hard way: don't put your dick in crazy.

He should probably transfer now lol. I think once you let Hump and Brown on the field this year his spot is taken.

This is terrible. He is the best player we have in the secondary.

he was All-SEC last year while playing through a hip injury. if we find 3-4 CBs better than that, I'll be ok with it. But i fully expect him to be a major contributor in the secondary this season. He's got by far the most PT under his belt of all the players we have in the secondary.

Most experienced sure. "Best" though? That's debatable.

Regardless, this incident sounds like a typical tiff between two twenty somethings. I really don't think he should lose PT over this, especially considering it's his first offense ever.

Dude lose his cool for a second, and even then he didn't physically hurt anyone. Pay the restitution and let's move on.
