Assuming we beat lsu and run the table and ole miss runs the table as well. Ole miss will win the west and play in the sec championship game and bama gets an extra week of practice for the playoffs.

If Bama beats LSU I don't believe for a second the SEC won't see to it that Ole Miss loses so Bama can get in.

The Big 12 will have an undefeated team in the end with either Baylor or TCU. One will get in.

ACC if Clemson runs the table is a lock.

Big 10 unless they eat their own it should be OSU or MSU undefeated and one a lock to get in.

If the Pac 12 has a 1 loss champ I believe they would go before a 2 loss Ole Miss SEC champ. The only hope for the SEC currently is for UF or LSU to run the table or UA running the table with Ole Miss dropping another game.

Don't just assume we'll beat LSU. They are a very formidable opponent.

Under the scenario Bama beats LSU and wins out and some how OM does too...

Ole Miss isnt going to the playoffs. Bama prob will if they win out.

Undefeated Clemson
Undefeated Big 10
1 loss or undefeated Big 12
Bama

1 loss Notre Dame looking to grab another spot if it can.

The whole push for the playoffs came after that 2011 season when a lot of people were whining about Bama getting to play in the BCSCG despite not winning the conference. If Bama wins out and doesn't win the SEC I don't think Bama makes the playoff. One of the knocks against Baylor/TCU for the not making the playoffs last year was not having a conf. title game and a definite conf champ. I know a lot of Bama fans assume that if Bama wins out they're in but I definitely don't think that's certain unless OM loses.

A few things would have to happen, a few teams would have to lose 1 or 2 more games, but the scenario of us making the playoff without winning our conference is very much so possible, IMO.

I disagree and think its highly probable if we win out.

I said it wasn't certain Bama would get in if they win out. Not saying the likely hood of that happening is high. But if OSU/MSU, Baylor/TCU, and Clemson go undefeated then they're all in which is possible given all their weak schedules. 4th seed would be tough especially if Bama doesn't win the SEC. Another thing is if a 1 loss UF team beats a 2 loss OM then they're are most likely in regardless of Bama winning out. Again not saying it's impossible to get in but just saying there's at least a slight chance Bama gets left out.

A definite chance we could get left out.

A 1 loss UF over Ole Miss in the SECCG puts them in and us out no matter we do.

A 1 loss PAC 12 team would go over us in that same scenario if we win out but do not play in the SECCG.

If we do not play in Atlanta we are out unless a lot of other teams drop a game which could happen.

The worst scenario for the SEC is Ole Miss winning out and no SEC team will get in the playoffs if the other Big 5 conferences have a undefeated and/or 1 loss team.

If Bama wins out and Ole Miss wins out as well, Bama still has a good shot at making the 4 team playoff.

LSU is out due to loss vs Bama and Bama moves up a spot in the polls.

Ohio State beats Michigan State. Bama moves up 1 spot

Baylor and TCU still have to play each other so Bama will move up another spot.

Bama is now in the top 4 and because of their SOS will get the nod without having to play in the SECCG. jmo.

Except you got a Stanford team right behind us in the polls who are looking pretty good right now. They should head into their last regular season game 10-1 vs a top 10 Notre Dame, which they should win. If they win probably will be playing a 11-1 top 15 or ranked Utah team in the PAC 12 CG on a weekend we may be home watching Ole Miss in Atlanta.

Conference Champ are weighted for the playoffs picks and especially anyone playing the last weekend will get watched by the CFB playoff committee vs. someone sitting at home.

In the end we win out and LSU takes it out on Ole Miss nothing to worry about.
