Watch this video and tell me....

If this is how excited Anthony Grant could get Bama Nation for basketball at his zenith....

Imagine what Avery can do in the coming years.

Avery and our guys are doing their part better than anyone could possibly have imagined. Now it's our turn. If you live within an hours' driving distance, we got games against MSU, Arky and F*** AUBURN! Let's Do This!!!

Take us out Zooey!!!

MSU and AU will be sell outs. I'm assuming Arkansas is a midweek game, so there may be some tickets available, but will still be a good crowd.

needs to be rehabbed, or torn down and rebuilt.

MSU is already sold out and Auburn was close to selling out a couple of weeks ago. Now we need to work on attendance, particularly among the blue blood Tide Priders in the lower sections.

This is the biggest issue.

And to the OP, that was a good season in 2012. They were a fun group to watch.

I have a feeling that will get addressed this offseason. The fact that buying basketball tickets (and not having to use them) helps your football ticket status is completely obscene.

I'll say this, Grant's second year when we went undefeated at home was some of the funnest games I've ever been too. Even the NIT games were electric.

I just wish the student section was closer to the court and had a much better viewing of the game. I kind of like how Ohio State and Wisconsin have theirs. One thing that is really nice is their band placement. I have some friends in the pep band and they absolutely HATE where they are. Anyways, I digress. Would love to have something like this

Coleman is the only arena I know of where you have seats that face other seats.

They cram too many people in there. If u don't have great seats u are screwed if u are sitting next to a big person. I'll be damned if I spend a ton of money to go to t town on a Tuesday and then not enjoy myself because the seats are too small. Just making all seats a decent size would make that place so much more enjoyable. The place has other issues as well. I don't think it would be wise to rehab Coleman. They did that really not that long ago. Go big or go home. A new arena or keep Coleman make sense. Putting another facelift in Coleman is throwing good money after bad IMO.

Since they aren't tearing it down, I do think another face-lift is due. The last major overhaul was back in 2005 after our Elite Eight run and brought it up to snuff with most of the SEC at the time.

I think the concourse can be made much more interesting, I love schools like LSU and Auburn that made their concourse a bit of a museum of program history. We could have one side that showcases Alabama Gymnastics and the other side, Bama Hoops. And just in general look more slick and modern.

The seats facing seats need to be torn out and have camera stands put in, (we've already done this with one angle).

The basketball suites and practice gym, thankfully are pretty sick already, maybe some touches here and there.

Absolutely. I think the renovations they did in 2005 did spruce it up a bunch and made it nicer looking on the outside and the concourses. But they didn't address the worst things about Coleman - the seating configuration and the sight lines from many seats. Not sure there was much they could do about those two things though.

The next two home games are officially sold out. If you want to see this team, get a ticket for Arky or that's it.

I don't have tickets, but I'll probably drive up on Saturday and buy some from scalpers.

Why do teams want practice facilities for B-Ball now? We don't share the court except for Gym-Tide meets, they have their own practice facility.

Seems like the more you practice on your own B-Ball court the better your home court advantage would be, shooting wise

I firmly believe that they can rehab the current building.

replace the roof. Remove the drome aspect of the roof.

take the entire seating design and build an upper deck on the sidelines.

I'd like to see it be a more intimate atmosphere. Even the biggest games have too many empty seats. I'd rather it be smaller and have a feeling that it's full.

You can do more things on a practice court. More goals, better sight angles for players/coaches on the sideline, video capabilities, chalkboards, closer to rehab facilities, etc.

Coleman isn't that bad in my opinion. It gets an unfair amount of criticism. The ceiling is weird, but recognizable. And the location is perfect and looks fine on the outside.

The interior could be redesigned so that the arrangement isn't so weird. The lower section could be transformed into a bowl (as opposed to the weird square)

And then maybe the upper rows could somehow be redesigned to make an upper deck

To be fair, Coleman's square shape is what allows it to be one of the smaller arenas in the conference space-wise, but in terms of capacity one of the biggest.

15,000 crammed into the small area can make for deafening if EVERYONE is up to the task.
