Cody Mandell has not punted enough times to qualify for the punting statistics but is averaging 44 yards per kick. (41 punts,1808 yards)

Obviously, this is a huge improvement over last year. He is much more consistent than last year.

Bama is 18th in the country in net punting at 39.51 yards.

I'm very impressed with this. Last year I felt that he rarely helped our defense at all but he's booming some kicks this year.

His improvement over last year has been one of the least talked about stories of the year. Helps mitigate a little bit our struggles in punt returns this year.

How many punts do you have to have to qualify?

3.6 punts/game min. according to the NCAA which seems like a pretty arbitrary number to me. Why not 2 punts/game?

He missed being eligible by 2.2 punts.

I wish our offense was a little worse, so he could qualify.
