Something strange is going on this year in recruiting.
If we dont have 10 recruits by August i will start to get a bit more concerned. It has been said that they are taking less guys this year and want to wait until after camps to be very selective. So lets just wait until after camps and see. Plus we got Saban, you know its still going to be a good class.

Alabama is after one of Ohio State's commitments with its latest offer to four-star cornerback Sevyn Banks.
The Orlando (Fla.) Jones product committed to the Buckeyes exactly one month ago today.
At 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, Banks is rated the No. 25 cornerback and the No. 255 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

Jalyn Armour-Davis delays his decision; does that mean bad news for Alabama?
Jalyn Armour-Davis, a 4-star cornerback from St. Paul’s Episcopal School (Mobile, Ala.), was expected to announce his commitment on Friday, but he decided to push back his decision to an unknown date.
Armour-Davis was likely going to choose Alabama on Friday, so the delay hurts the Crimson Tide’s chances to some degree because it allows his two other finalists, Auburn and Florida State, to make up some ground.
Do not be surprised if the state of Alabama’s top-ranked defensive prospect takes at least one more visit to each of his finalists and then makes a decision at that point. Alabama is still in a very good position for Armour-Davis, even if he visits other schools. He’s fully aware that the Tide desperately need some cornerbacks in the Class of 2018. He also believes that out of his three finalists, Alabama is the safe pick.
“It’s the most secure place for me and my family,” Armour-Davis told SEC Country on Wednesday night.
Alabama has certainly closed the gap over these past few weeks, mainly from the job Tide defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt has done. Pruitt has made sure Armour-Davis understands that early playing time is possible for any 2018 defensive back.
That’s because the Crimson Tide secondary in 2018 will see a lot of turnover as Tony Brown and Anthony Averett will move on after exhausting their eligibility and Minkah Fitzpatrick and Ronnie Harrison are likely candidates to declare for the NFL draft. If we go by who ran with the first-team defense in the spring game, that would only leave Trevon Diggs as the lone returning starter in the secondary in 2018. The Class of 2016 DBs: Jared Mayden, Aaron Robinson and Shyheim Carter haven’t played meaningful minutes in the secondary just yet, and Nigel Knott redshirted last season.
Armour-Davis’ commitment is expected to be made before the start of his senior season, and I still believe Alabama is the favorite whenever he ends up making his decision.
And, to clear things up, I had several people ask me if he decided to delay his decision because he was told he needed to camp first. That is not the case here. Armour-Davis can commit whenever he wants. He’s a top priority for Alabama.

Coynis Miller possibly committing in the next few months?
Unlike Armour-Davis, Coynis Miller was going to wait until after his senior season to make his commitment. He is having second thoughts on that decision.
Miller, a 4-star defensive tackle from Jackson-Olin High School (Birmingham, Ala.), told SEC Country that he could now make a decision much sooner than his original plans.
“I may do it before the season starts or at the first game of the season,” Miller said. “I’m not 100 percent yet, but I’m just thinking that it’s a strong possibility it can happen.”
The 6-foot-2, 300-pound prospect told SEC Country last month that Alabama is the school that is recruiting him the hardest.
Not only does Miller hear from offensive line coach Brent Key, who is his primary recruiter, but also defensive line coach Karl Dunbar and coach Nick Saban himself. But it’s his relationship with Key that has Alabama near the top of Miller’s mind.
“They talk to me a lot,” Miller said. “Every morning, every night. Me and Coach Key have a really good relationship. I like him. He’s one of those guys that if I don’t go to Alabama, I can still talk to him. He’s just a great guy to talk with.”
Alabama and Auburn are considered the favorites to land Miller when he makes his decision. Clemson, Florida, Louisville and LSU are schools Miller is strongly considering outside of the state. When both Alabama and Auburn are prioritizing a recruit from the state, that prospect is seen as having a small chance of choosing anywhere else. What are the chances he leaves Alabama for college?
“It’s high. It’s really high,” Miller said. “I’ve been staying in Alabama my whole life. I kind of want to get out and see the world.”
That quote could be a reason to hit the pause button for Alabama’s chances with the state’s top defensive lineman, but several people close to the program still believe they are in good position to land his commitment.
I expect Miller to be in Alabama’s class, especially with the Tide having a big need for interior linemen in the Class of 2018.
