4* LB/ATH Nathaniel Watson
My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn
Level of confidence: Low
Breakdown: Mississippi State is surging. That's largely because the Bulldogs are recruiting Watson the hardest, he said last week. He prefers receiver and Mississippi State will give him that shot. Auburn likes him at linebacker.

3* DE Andres Fox
My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn
Level of confidence: Medium
Breakdown: According to Fox, he nearly committed to Auburn earlier this year but his mother asked him to hold off. Alabama and LSU are very much in the mix.

3* OLB/Buck Richard JIbunor
My Crystal Ball pick: Auburn
Level of confidence: Medium
Breakdown: Jibunor is extremely close with the Auburn staff. He's also friends with Tigers offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho, who like himself is a Nigerian native.
But schools such as Alabama and Georgia figure to be major factors.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball is currently trending heavily to Texas at 100 percent. Woodard recently named a top 10 that didn't include the Tide (before the offer).
At 6-foot-1, 193 pounds, Woodard is rated the No. 11 receiver and the No. 68 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

TS, did you have to post about visiting St Thomas Aquinas? Now we get to hear from the resident Cane fan how they are all locks for Miami.

The 'Canes are taking 17 receivers. They are all locks. Miami will sign 43 players total, including 22 that are 5 stars. Mark Richt is the best coach in the country and will win the next 10 national championships unless he retires before then.

ALPHARETTA, Ga. -- It’s our job at Rivals.com to get the information on which schools the nation’s top prospects will end up signing with when the time comes. But sometimes the best clues come from fellow recruits. At this past weekend's Atlanta stop of the Rivals 3 Stripe Camp Series presented by adidas, we asked fellow prospects where some of the Southeast’s best players will end up and their answers may surprise you.

Alabama recruiting Miller the hardest
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Coynis Miller busted out laughing when asked how often an Alabama coach is in contact with him. Seven days a week a member of the Crimson Tide staff is texting him, telling him how big of a priority he is to the team’s 2018 recruiting class.
Miller, a 4-star defensive tackle from Jackson-Olin High School, told SEC Country that Alabama is recruiting him the hardest and its efforts are led by offensive line coach Brent Key, who is the primary recruiter in the Birmingham area.
“He probably just texted me right now,” Miller joked. “I haven’t checked my phone. They tell me that they need me every day. When I go there, everyone tells me how badly they want me.”
The 6-foot-2, 300-pound prospect spent this past weekend in Tuscaloosa for A-Day, where he went on the field to meet with coach Nick Saban prior to kickoff. That’s how big of a priority Miller is to Alabama. A small handful of recruits in attendance on Saturday received special treatment — Miller was one of them.
Not only does Miller hear from Key but also defensive line coach Karl Dunbar and Saban himself. But it’s his relationship with Key that has Alabama near the top of Miller’s mind.
“They talk to me a lot,” Miller said. “Every morning, every night. Me and Coach Key have a really good relationship. I like him. He’s one of those guys that if I don’t go to Alabama, I can still talk to him. He’s just a great guy to talk with.”
Alabama and Auburn are considered the favorites to land Miller when he makes his decision, which he said won’t happen until the end of his senior season. Those two schools will make his shortlist when he releases that shortly before his season begins, but other schools are in the mix, too.
Clemson, Florida, Louisville and LSU were mentioned as schools Miller is strongly considering outside of the state. When both Alabama and Auburn are prioritizing a recruit from the state, that prospect is seen as having a small chance of choosing anywhere else. What are the chances he leaves Alabama for college?
“It’s high. It’s really high,” Miller said. “I’ve been staying in Alabama my whole life. I kind of want to get out and see the world.”
That quote could be reason to hit the pause button for Alabama’s chances with the state’s top defensive lineman, but several people close to the program still believe they are in good position to land his commitment.
The state’s No. 9 overall player is very intrigued with Oregon. It’s the one school that could dramatically alter Miller’s recruitment. The Ducks haven’t offered yet, although they are in touch with him. If they do offer, Oregon will automatically get one of his five official visits. Alabama, Auburn and Florida are receiving one of the five coveted visits. Clemson “probably” will get one, too.
Miller has been to Auburn more than any other school, but Alabama is right there when it comes to total number of visits as well.
The Crimson Tide aren’t as deep at defensive line as they are at other position groups heading into next season. It’s something that the coaching staff has stressed to Miller.
“They tell me all of the time that a lot of players are going to leave there, so it could help their chances,” Miller said.

Tide still on top for in-state DT
ODENVILLE, Ala. — Da’Ron Payne weighed as much as 350 pounds coming out of Shades Valley High School. Payne is now down to 308 pounds. When he signed with Alabama, Payne needed to lose a significant amount of weight. He did just that and is on track to being a top draft pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
Alabama is hoping the same plan works for in-state defensive tackle Jalen Cunningham. The Saint Clair County High School star stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 360 pounds. Every school recruiting Cunningham wants him at 320 pounds.
Every day after team workouts, Cunningham runs with his teammates and then does at least 10 suicides by himself to cut the weight.
“I hate running with a passion, but I have to do it,” Cunningham told SEC Country.
The 3-star prospect is the Crimson Tide’s top option at nose guard in the Class of 2018. Staff members have told Cunningham that they want him to be the next Da’Ron Payne when he leaves the program.
Alabama has led for Cunningham since the day he picked up his offer in February. It’s going to be nearly impossible for any school to overtake the Tide for the top spot. It seems like there’s only a matter of time before he ends up being a Tide commitment.
Is there any school out there that could have a chance to leapfrog Alabama?
“The school that I think could overtake Alabama is LSU,” Cunningham said. “I love LSU. I wanted them to be my first offer. I love their defense. Their coaching staff gets guys on the defensive side of the ball to the NFL. I love everything about LSU.”
The Tigers haven’t offered yet, but he said he’s been in communication with coaches there. Georgia, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Oregon, in addition to Alabama, made up Cunningham’s top 5, which he recently released.
There’s going to be a new version of that top 5 as early as Monday because Auburn recently offered. He visited for the Tigers’ junior day event in early March but left without an offer. After some misunderstanding, Auburn clarified that he, in fact, did have an offer.
“When I dropped my top 5, Coach [Rodney] Garner called me and told me to call Coach [Gus] Malzahn later on that night. I talked to him for the longest and he gave me the offer later that night,” Cunningham said.
Cunningham can release as many versions of a top 5 as he wants, but it’s not really going to change anything. He loves Alabama. He’s just waiting on the right time to make his decision. This is a kid whose Chevy Tahoe has an Alabama license plate on the front of his car, a Crimson Tide logo on the back and his key lanyard is Alabama-themed.
It’s just a matter of when he’ll make his commitment.

Many sophomore players have emerged as top prospects for the 2019 class. While many are waiting in the shadows for their time to surface, these 10 prospects have solidified their status as premier prospects, and should remain players for high marks for most recruiting outlets. We will be rolling out an expended list in the near future, but this is how we see the top 10 Louisiana prospects for now.

No. 10 Quinton Torbor, WR, 6-2, 185, Destrehan
One of my greatest job pleasures is watching film of Destrehan receivers. They are well-coached, tough, and willing to do more than just catch passes. Torbor has good length and consistently creates separation at the top of his route. He does a great job tracking and making a play on the ball, and showing good body control and athleticism. Torbor is the best blocking receiver of all the prospects I have seen in his class, which is an attribute that is too often overlooked.

No. 9 Chester Kimbrough, DB, 6-0, 170, Warren Easton
Kimbrough is the most unheralded prospect on this list--currently. The spring should be fruitful for Kimbrough, who is still in search of his first offer. He is a versatile defensive back, but currently excels as a press corner, utilizing his length, patience and tenacity. Before all is said and done, Kimbrough will be one of the most sought-after prospects in the state.
