LOL, I think he's more than earned it over the years.

I don't know. Two 1-second losses in 3 years??? He's back on probationary status with me.

Alabama is expecting 15 of its recruits in the Class of 2017 to be enrolled in school before spring practice begins in March, but only 12 members of the class have arrived in Tuscaloosa.

One of the three remaining members expected to arrive before spring practice, 4-star safety Daniel Wright from Boyd Anderson High School (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), was supposed to be in Tuscaloosa on Jan. 6 but now won’t enroll until Feb. 13, according to his mother.

Feb. 13 is also the date that 4-star safety Xavier McKinney is expected to arrive in Tuscaloosa, too. Like Wright, McKinney needs to finish one more class before he gets to Alabama.

Alabama’s other expected early enrollee, 4-star running back Brian Robinson, doesn’t have an enrollment date yet as he finishes high school.

So weird he waited so long. This has been talked about since like the start of the season. Hope we get Henderson to fill his place. CB is not a huge need on the class but with as much nickel and dime as we play you can't hardly have enough good dbs

Yeah it's a shite show most days.I don't think I'm really liked too much on our own board. You can't say anything negative.

Alabama holds the nation’s No. 1 class after the four recruiting services updated their class of 2017 rankings.

Several Crimson Tide commits were affected in both positive and negative ways. Najee Harris, who was rated as the nation’s No. 1 overall player, is now the No. 3 prospect in America, getting leapfrogged by UCLA commit Jaelan Phillips and former Alabama commit, now Florida State signee Cam Akers.

Harris may have gotten negative news, but quarterback Tua Tagovailoa regained his fifth star and offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood is now a top five player in America.

With all that being said, here’s a peek at Alabama’s 2017 class snapshot:

Alabama 2017 class snapshot

Alabama has a good chance to have the nation’s No. 1 class for the seventh straight year. As it stands, this might be Alabama’s best class in the Nick Saban era because it has commitments from a top-class running back, two future play-making quarterbacks, a bookend left tackle and more.

Where it ranks?

Alabama’s 2017 class is ranked No. 1 in the country. Although Ohio State has a higher average star-rating than Alabama, the Crimson Tide should hang on to the top spot in the rankings because this is going to be a bigger class than normal for the Tide. Ohio State will not sign 25 players this year, so based off of the sheer size of the class, Alabama likely will have more points than Ohio State come signing day.

As is standard in the Saban era, the majority of Alabama’s commitments are of the blue-chip variety, meaning they are either rated 4- or 5-star prospects. For context purposes, the Tide have 25 pledges, including five 5-star recruits (RB Najee Harris, OT Alex Leatherwood, LB Dylan Moses, QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR Jerry Jeudy), 17 4-star prospects, three 3-star talents and one 2-star prospect in long snapper Thomas Fletcher.

Who are Alabama’s early enrollees?

5-star RB Najee Harris
5-star OT Alex Leatherwood
5-star WR Jerry Jeudy
5-star LB Dylan Moses
5-star QB Tua Tagovailoa
4-star WR Tyrell Shavers
4-star DL Isaiah Buggs
4-star OT Elliot Baker
4-star ATH Chadarius Townsend
4-star TE Major Tennison
3-star DB Kyriq McDonald
2-star long snapper Thomas Fletcher

— 4-star DB Xavier McKinney is expected to enroll in February

— 4-star RB Brian Robinson is expected to enroll at an unknown date.

Who committed to Alabama this week?

Alabama didn’t get any 2017 commitments this week. It did, however, land 2018 4-star athlete Xavier Williams.

The latest commitment is Xavier McKinney, a 4-star safety from Roswell (Ga.) High School, who surprisingly committed to Alabama once again. McKinney announced his decision on ESPN at the Under Armour All-America Game. Clemson was thought to be the favorite to land his commitment, but Alabama won out in the end.

“I feel like they can get me where I need to be as a player and as a person also,” McKinney said. “I fell in love with the staff and the atmosphere when I’ve gone there. Those were the main reasons why I committed.”

Who de-committed from Alabama this week?

Alabama was dealt a big blow to its recruiting class after the de-commitment of Williams Field High School (Gilbert, Ariz.) 3-star kicker Brandon Ruiz. Ruiz decided to end his pledge to Alabama after getting cold feet on leaving home. A day after de-committing from Alabama, he committed to Arizona State.

Ruiz’s de-commitment marks the second year in a row that a kicker has left Alabama’s class late in the recruiting process. Last year, it was Eddy Pineiro who de-committed from Alabama and eventually signed with Florida.

Alabama likely will focus on getting a preferred walk-on kicker and land a scholarship kicker in 2018.

Who are Alabama’s top remaining targets?

5-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon
5-star defensive end LaBryan Ray
4-star defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw
4-star defensive tackle Phidarian Mathis
4-star wide receiver Henry Ruggs III
4-star wide receiver DeVonta Smith
4-star JACK Jarez Parks

It was a mutual parting of ways.

I think nardogg was just asking why it took so long for it to go public.

If I saw it correctly, he scored a 30 on his ACT. He can come in and be the team's official test taker
