Two JUCO D-Linemen to watch are Malik Young and Teair Tart-Spencer. More names will probably emerge throughout the season just like last year with Jamar King.

Two names to know for the Safety position:
Todd Harris
Devon Hunter

If Cristobal were to leave after the season he could see it affecting Alex Leatherwood's commitment.

He expects us to land 3-4 D-Linemen. His forecast for now is Akial Byers, Elijah Conliffe and Labryan Ray.
He had this to say about Marvin Wilson:

I'm going to change my Marvin Wilson pick from Alabama, I'm just not sure to which program yet.

Shaun Wade is the most likely to flip and he still feels confident in his CB to Alabama for him.
This the same guy or different one who said he was 51/49% on the flip?

Different guy. The dude who said that is Chris Kirschner who covers Alabama football for the AJC and SEC Country.
Hank South probably has better sources FWIW.

I'm still perplexed by McElwain's average recruiting at Florida so far. But damn if he hasn't hit the state of Alabama extremely hard.

They will close strong like they did last year.

Who does he have pegged for Wilson?
Posted on 8/24/16 at 7:33 pm to Captain Crown
He didn't say. I imagine it's one of LSU, Florida State and Texas though.
If Texas has a big year I think he ends up in Austin.

Last year and this year, interior DL should be licking their fking chops at coming to Bama. Practically guaranteed play time due to attrition and our heavy rotation of guys

Shaun Wade and his family have circled the month of November as the time to reevaluate his recruitment. He initially wanted to take his OV to Alabama for the Iron Bowl, but they have family coming in for Thanksgiving. His father says they haven't decided on another weekend yet.
ETA: Mac Jones is recruiting him hard.

A good Article On JH and the QB situation:
The growing buzz surrounding Alabama true freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts has made its way to Mobile, home of private quarterback coach David Morris, whose client list at QB Country includes former Alabama quarterbacks A.J. McCarron and Jake Coker and 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch.
Apparently, Morris has heard enough about Hurts through the quarterback grapevine to think a true freshman lining up behind center for the Crimson Tide this fall isn't out of the question.
"I think some guys can do it and I think he may be one of them," Morris said. "I don't know that kid personally, but everything I've heard is it almost sounds like you're talking about Russell Wilson right now. There are guys out there that are just ball players and they can do it."
While it hasn't been a route taken by Nick Saban in the past, Morris is of the opinion that breaking in a rookie at UA may not be as difficult than at some other places.
"I think at Alabama it may even be easier than others because there is so much talent [around the quarterback]," Morris said. "I think it would be off the charts, but everything I've heard is that kid is off the charts."
If anyone would know about starting as a true freshman in the SEC it would be Morris. He not only had his number called as a first-year player at Ole Miss in 1998, he did it as a walk-on.
"The learning curve is hard, but for me it took a break," Morris said. "I was a second-stringer and the starter at the time, Romaro Miller, got hurt. I think to go in and win [the job outright], especially at a place like [Alabama] would be amazing. But I think there are guys who can handle it."
As for the evaluation process Alabama quarterbacks go through under Saban, in working with Coker, Morris got a glimpse at what is involved in selecting at starter at UA.
"I spoke to [Coker] almost everyday in August [2015], and it was kind of like, 'I think I'm the guy but they're not really putting on much'," Morris recalled. "Then game week he found out he was going to start against Wisconsin. As far as when it clicked for him, I think it clicked early, even against Wisconsin, when he played really well. I think when he really felt like it was his team was after Ole Miss. That second half, when he played at a level when you finally saw that this guy has some special stuff."
"I think he always believed it, but Nick kind of puts his quarterbacks in a situation where you have to prove it everyday. And I think that kind of breeds a winner."
According to Morris, the trick to winning a competition like the one that is taking place at UA for a third straight year is to focus on what is being asked of the quarterback instead of going above and beyond the call of duty in an effort to impress coaches and teammates.
"The play is designed so you can make a play, so just do what the play asks you to do," Morris said. "I think even Jake would tell you that from last year. Early on in the competition, he felt like he had to press when, really, the play is designed a certain way and if you just do your job you're going to impress."

Collins has Michigan, Alabama and Georgia tied at the top?
Several readers asked me on Wednesday what I thought of 4-star wide receiver Nico Collins naming Alabama, Michigan and Georgia his tri-leaders in a recent interview with a recruiting website. In short, it’s not mind-blowing.
Last month at The Opening, Collins told me that Alabama was recruiting him harder than ever. The Crimson Tide have been on Collins ever since his 10th-grade year, so that’s definitely saying something.
“Right now, I think it’s getting crazier with them knowing my top group,” Collins said last month. “They’re still trying to get me, so they are bringing the heat. They’ve always been recruiting me hard ever since I was in the 10th grade, which is when they first offered me. Now, I guess they know they have competition — Michigan and Georgia — so they are coming at me harder.”
The state’s No. 3 prospect also said that Alabama was “right there” in his top group alongside Michigan and Georgia. He had declared Michigan his No. 1 school at the time, but the Wolverines’ lead was very slight.
He has also admitted to some recency bias. When I visited him at Clay-Chalkville’s spring game three months ago, he had just visited Ann Arbor.
“I just went there last week, so probably if I go somewhere else, things will change at that point,” Collins said at the time.
For most of his recruitment, the belief was the nation’s No. 13 wide receiver would stay in-state and commit to Alabama at some point. He admitted that the Crimson Tide did hold the lead at one point in his recruitment until he started visiting other places.
“Alabama was there at the top,” Collins said. “That was the only team that showed me the most love back then. They were the leader until I started going on all of these trips out of state and seeing what else was out there.”
The Tide are always going to be a factor for Collins until he ends up making his decision, which he is planning to do on National Signing Day. Make no mistake about it, Alabama would love to have Collins in the Class of 2017. Would it be a surprise to hear Collins name Alabama his leader at some point over the next five months? Absolutely not.
Cap should be happy.

New safety target emerging?
Jeff Sentell of DawgNation caught up with 4-star Ohio State commit Isaiah Pryor Wednesday afternoon for a feature he’s working on about this weekend’s IMG Academy vs. Grayson game, which I’ll be attending. Pryor transferred from Archer High School (Lawenceville, Ga.) to IMG prior to his senior season.
Pryor told Sentell that Alabama is recruiting him as hard as it possibly can. The nation’s No. 4 safety said something similar when SEC Country was down in Bradenton, Fla. for IMG’s media day, but it seems like the Tide have turned up their efforts at flipping the Buckeyes commit.
There is one issue right now that would affect Alabama’s chances. Urban Meyer has a strict “no visit” policy for his commitments, and at this time, Pryor does not know if he’s going to take official visits other than to Ohio State for the Michigan game at the end of the season. If you recall, 5-star cornerback Shaun Wade, who Alabama is trying to flip, is going against Ohio State’s policy and will take official visits elsewhere. One to Alabama is currently being scheduled.
If Pryor follows Wade and takes visits elsewhere, this could get very interesting. Alabama is hoping to get a top-flight safety in this class after the de-commitment of 4-star prospect Xavier McKinney.
Other safety targets to keep an eye on include 4-star prospects Devon Hunter and Todd Harris. Hamsah Nasirildeen, who was a one-time target but did not have a commitable offer, committed to South Carolina last week.
I hope to have much more from Pryor this weekend at the IMG-Grayson game.
Could this be the reason Urban offered McKinney last week? I know most assumed it had to do with Shaun Wade, but this could get interesting.

This is false. OSU's QB commit Clark visited Bama for their spring game this year right off the top of my head. Meyer is open that if they are visiting other players then OSU will look at other prospects and he wants to know where they visit

Michigan has a “no visit” policy after commitments are made. Meyer doesn’t. Meyer said he didn’t appreciate that offensive tackle Jamarco Jones made an official visit to Michigan State the final weekend before National Signing Day. Notice, of course, helps because if Ohio State loses a prospect, that gives the staff time to find a replacements. Had Jones signed with Michigan State, there would have been a hole in the Buckeyes’ class.
But Meyer said he’s always in favor of letting his committing prospects take visits. “I will never tell a kid they can’t visit,” Meyer said. “I'd rather them not. And even with Jamarco, I never said you shouldn't do that. He very simply said I want to make sure. “After being on the parent side of two recruiting battles, if someone ever told my kid they can't go visit, that would be not a pleasant conversation, because those kids deserve to go wherever they want to go to school.”
Pryor is one of the guys I feel best about OSU keeping from their OOS guys. Wade I feel the worst about, with Dobbins being second
