So apparently Will Ignont grew up an Auburn fan hating Alabama. This is per our friends on the Auburn board.

That should be a fun recruitment.

Instate ATH Jamal Couch committed to FSU,who wasn't even in his top 3 last month(Bama, MSU, and UGA).

Bama was wanting him to camp so they could figure out a position, but told him safety. UGA wanted him at OLB, while Auburn told him WR/TE.

Appears FSU recruited him as an OLB as well. 6'3 205 appears pretty light for an OLB.

FSU is also recruiting Robertson. He says he is still happy with his commitment, but will continue to look at other schools. He plans to visit FSU in a couple of weeks for a spring practice.

All this per FSU247

Nick Bosa plans to visit us during his spring break. I'm sure we have a great chance of landing him

TIFWIW but when I went back home over winterbreak a solid group of connections to Aquinas were saying that they thought he could possibly end up here. Apparently he liked our program and was interested.

That being said, I told them they were stupid and he was OSU bound.

Markail Benton and Broussard are claiming on twitter that they want to be a package deal with Jamal Couch who just committed to FSU this week.

Had a feeling that they'd eventually say that, pretty close.

Though they almost never happen, whomever pulls the trigger on Broussard should be the favorite. Read some schools have pulled back on him a bit, like LSU.

2017 is gonna be an excellent year for talent instate, but its shaping up as a dog fight.

I wish Charles Power would return.

Shane was only taking over for an interim time while Tim found a replacement for Charles. The content on BOL seems to be lacking lately. I know this is a dead time of year, but judging by the HZT, Rivals seems to be pumping out a lot more articles than BOL, particularly after that big junior weekend we had a few weeks ago.

I'll give Hank a month, but if it doesn't improve I may consider switching to Rivals even though I prefer the 247 composite rankings.

I've got both and dont think I'll be able to give up either. Isn't it odd they hire a Texas dude though? Is there really no one out there better who can pump out articles with Tim Watts's sources?

Alabama offer 'truly a blessing' for 4-star California offensive tackle Jonah Williams

Jonah Williams moved from Atlanta to Folsom, Calif., after his freshman year, but certainly didn't forget about the SEC schools.

Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Ole Miss are among 20-plus schools that have offered Williams, a 6-foot-5, 272-pound offensive tackle. Williams is a four-star recruit rated among the top players in the country.

He's ranked No. 75 nationally in the 247Sports composite, ranked as the country's No. 10 offensive tackle and as California's 11th-ranked prospect.

On Monday, Williams added an offer from Alabama.

"It's very humbling and exciting," Williams said. "I grew up in Atlanta, so 'Bama was always in the forefront of my mind. It's truly a blessing, coming from a program like Alabama."

Williams said Alabama didn't go into too much detail in their evaluation of the tackle, "but they liked my athleticism and power."

Alabama is likely to sign multiple offensive tackles. Williams said he preferred to stay quiet about his top schools and recruitment, not wanting to release top schools. But plenty of the Pac-12 schools have offered, including USC, UCLA, Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon and Washington.

He has SEC ties, as his mother graduated from Auburn and father from Georgia, according to Inside the Auburn Tigers and he visited Auburn earlier this year.

Folsom High won the California D-1 state championship last season, going 16-0 and winning every game with a running clock. Folsom was ahead by 35 points in the third quarter of every game. The school is in northern California near Sacramento.

Williams is focused on continuing that dominance and hopes to get his college decision out of the way before then.

"I'd like to make (my decision) before summer," Williams said. "Definitely before our season starts. I want to focus on winning state again."

This had to be expected. It doesn't seem to have any bearing right now though, right now.

Even if it's a tenth of a second off, that is still damn fast for his size. Tough mismatch for anybody. Would be a hell of a safety, too.
