Hank havent responded to my question about Devin White yet but here is what Lilslym posted Fwiw:
quote:

Lsu is still in it and even had the lead until his last visit here. Bama leads for white and Lawrence right now. The gap for Lawrence has increased regardless of what Bartow and Shea are saying. Lsu has a safety from the monroe area who is looking for an offer and would likely flip due to the talent lsu is bringing in but we feel pretty good about warrior and Knott finishing out our secondary class right now

RB Jordan Stevenson wants to go to Nebraska, mom favors Bama. He must really want to play in the Big 10.
quote:

Running back Jordan Stevenson (Dallas/South Oak Cliff) said he's leaning towards playing with Nebraska following a two day official visit there.

"In a sense yes," Stevenson said.

The next step will this evening's meeting with his mother.

Stevenson said he prefers Nebraska and convincing his mother of his choice will be the next step. He said his mother has been in contact with Alabama and Miami.

Stevenson said Alabama has been "blowing up" his phone for the last few days. He said he last spoke with Miami's staff Friday.

Stevenson said he "may visit" Alabama or Miami as soon as Tuesday.

This is what Hank siad in regards to my quesion about his CB for Devin White.
quote:

Talked with his coach today, will have the update tomorrow morning.

Nothing hinting that Bama is the favorite, they are just in good position with him.

I find that a little troubling because we won't make a switch during the season unless the starter is struggling and we're losing games. Maybe he's saying Cornwell will take the reins sometime during fall camp

The Cornwell and Barnett battles in the future are going to be pretty dang good.
I am worried this year though. I would expect Cornwell to take over by the 3rd or 4th game,if things are close. Coker just hasn't separated himself like I thought he would.

Maybe or they plan on splitting time in the beginning with the hope Cornwell can take over by hopefully full time for the UGA game. Wisconsin and Ole Miss if our D shows up we will not need a great offensive showing to win those games.

The "taking over the reigns" plan is exactly what we all thought last year. Blake got the nod and it stayed that way. I really don't think a dual system is what we're going to see going into one of the toughest schedules we've seen in the last decade.

I'd like to see us go with who we think is best from the get go (Coker or Cornwell), and let him be the guy until he does something to prove otherwise.

Damn this "well it would be better if we use Cornwell for 2016 purposes" sandbagging bs. The general motto is that we take one game at a time, but here's the notion that we choose a guy based on what it could mean NEXT season? No thanks.

I think if the race is close, give the nod to Cornwell. It's far more valuable for us long term to have him get reps now (think AJ in 2011) than have him be a fresh face with no veteran backup.
