He questioned why anyone would play for a bucktoothed bundle of sticks that that coaches a team in the SEC West.

Bo Davis recruiting in Mississippi better than he did during his first stint at Alabama. Of course, we still have to hang onto them.

Straight from a Bama coach who was very uncertain about our OL heading into 2013 and 2014: "Just watch the domination our OL puts out on Saturday night." (Courtesy of Redfish). There's a lot of confidence heading into this season. We usually don't gel for a couple games up front, so I'm still reserved on how well we'll do right out of the gate. But I believe we'll be pretty nasty there by October. We've seriously upgraded the talent level from last year (Dom Jackson > Shepherd if he can keep his head on straight for a few more months, Pierschbacher > Arie K, Taylor/Bozeman (or even a functioning human being with lung capacity) > Leon Brown.

Some around Bama's program now think Ole Miss is about to become a serious threat for Simmons, even though they haven't been to this point.

THIS is a good post. And I agree with all of it. Kudos.

BJ Emmons with 11 carries for 257 yards and 5 TDs in the first half of his game tonight before the game was stopped (not sure why). Beast!

Also, Cristobal and Napier were in Allen, TX tonight to watch Greg Little play.

247 is using his "academic issues" against him as their reasoning as to why he is ranked so low on their site.

If they throw that out, which they seemingly do for dozens of other players each recruiting cycle, he should be the #1 ranked RB in country. On film, there is no one better. Period.

I can't wait to watch this kid run in college. TideWarrior has said recently that Emmons was trying to enroll early. I hope that is true.

BamaOnline asked the Crimson Tide’s commits and top targets which team they thought would come away with a victory on Saturday night versus Wisconsin. Alabama was the unanimous selection. Below are all the score predictions.

Free Content from BOL

quote:

Four-star offensive lineman Chris Owens – 37-10

Four-star running back Cam Akers – “No guaranteed score but Roll Tide coming out with the win!”

Three-star kicker Eddy Pineiro – “ Don’t know, hopefully they win they have a good shot! I’ll be watching!”

Four-star linebacker Jaquan Yulee – 34-7

Four-star offensive tackle Dare Rosenthal – 36-28

Four-star athlete Chadarius Townsend – 35-14

Five-star shooting guard Terrance Ferguson – “28-7, Roll Tide.”

Five-star running back Najee Harris – “Bama by 14, Roll Tide.”

Three-star tight end Brendan Scales – 35-14

Four-star offensive tackle Charles Baldwin – “Bama by 21”

Four-star quarterback Jalen Hurts – “I hope we come out on top. I just expect to see one hell of a game.”

Three-star tight end Miller Forristall – “I’m taking Alabama by 2 plus TDs.”

Three-star athlete Shawn Jennings – 34-14

Five-star linebacker Ben Davis – 28-14

Five-star linebacker Lyndell “Mack” Wilson – “Bama wins by 14.”

Four-star wide receiver Mykel Jones – 28-14

Four-star offensive tackle Jauan Williams – Bama

Four-star linebacker Dontavious Jackson – “Bama wins by 21.”

Four-star defensive end Jeffery Simmons – 42-7

Oh no. Cam Akers just hit us with the dreaded "Roll Tide" as a noun a la Travis Rudolph.

He gone.

ETA: I really like that Jeffery Simmons kid. He picked a bigger victory for us than any of our commitments.

I understand their reasoning. I just wished that the recruiting services would be consistent with it. Every year, there are top 100 recruits that have small chances of making it (Bo Scarborough, Chidi Okeke-Valentine, among dozens of others). If it applies to one, it should apply to all.

But yeah. We'll be thin on numbers next year. But all of the guys on scholarship will be absolute beasts at RB.

So we apparently made the Top 5 for a DT out of Texas that I didn't even know we offered back in July. His highlights are private on Hudl so I can't link any film. Here is his profile:

Chris Daniels

Here's a pic of him with Kendell Jones:

Cam Akers and Clinton lost tonight but here are his stats:

quote:

Akers carried a bulk of his team’s offensive production down the stretch after Brandon made a comeback. The junior was 14-of-22 for 134 yards and a touchdown. He also picked up 168 rushing yards and ran in three scores.
