Robert Washington, a RB who we were once recruiting, decommitted from Syracuse. Always thought that was a strange commitment. Not sure if we would have any interest now.

What would he need on his ACT to qualify if he kept his GPA at that? 18?
Posted on 8/30/15 at 10:47 pm to TideSaint
He would need a 15 or 16 based on where his GPA is. But his coaches feel he may bring that up a few tenths and may only need a 14. Also in NC the majority of HS seniors take the SAT. For that he would only need a 760 combined and you get 400 for writing your name. I wonder what his initial ACT score was because in NC juniors are required to take it and it is paid for by the state.
He keeps his focus in the classroom he will be part of the class. He did what he needed to in the spring and this summer.

Good info.

I know a lot of people wanted him before he committed to Syracuse. His speed leaves a lot to be desired though.

Glad to hear that. He's a beast, and we'll need him badly next year. I'd be shocked if he redshirts.

Hank South on Robert Washington:
I guess this means we are back on him then?

4-star RB Robert Washington decommitted from Syracuse this afternoon, according to multiple sources. He is an Alabama target. Tosh Lupoi is his primary recruiter. Hope to have more on him later this week.

I believe this was the guy they said ran like Beast Mode.

I know he got a lot of comparisons to Gurley in the beginning.
ETA: He even looks like him.

For a comedian, you sure are letting this bother you. People heckling you lately?
Nope. I just think it's an embarrassment to our fan base.
I hope he'll one day be a good poster. I'm trying to shame him into it but it's not really working.
Plus, comedians are bothered by everything. That's why they're comics.

FWIW, Warrior is one of the last kids I see signing with a school just because he's a legacy. He's said in interviews he's annoyed by UT and fans talking about his dad. He doesn't even have his dad's name.

Fall Decision; Alabama Leads for Nick Eubanks
Chad Simmons
CLARKSTON, Ga. — A decision is coming this fall for top tight end Nick Eubanks and all schools trail the Alabama Crimson Tide...
Alabama leads for Nick Eubanks of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage with Florida, LSU, Oregon, and USC rounding out his top five.
The three- star prospect is 6-foot-5, 215 pounds with a great frame to add weight. He can be flexed out, he can line up off the tackle, and he will likely play at around 245-250 pounds after a few years in a college program.

His brother's current plan is to try to get qualified at UA.

The problem I have with him is the competition he has played against. OJ Howard's HS played better teams. Not saying he is not legit but I am also concerned with the transfers. He was at one school and was to transfer to E Gaston but then changed to another private school when his father was hired to the coaching staff. But only his little brother is on their roster and none of the three list him as a player this fall.
I am going to dig to see what is going on with him and by the way he was trying to transfer to be an EE.

So you're saying Washington isn't playing this season?
Posted on 8/31/15 at 8:49 am to TideSaint
Trying to find out where he is playing if he is. Like I said he was trying to transfer to a program that would allow him to graduate in Dec and be an EE.

Any idea why he decommitted from Syracuse?
Posted on 8/31/15 at 9:26 am to TideSaint
Like I said he was suppose to transfer to Mountain Island when his father was hired. But now he stated on Sunday that his old twitter account was hijacked by his father and has created a new one since his father took it over. Seems to be a falling out maybe with his father. But their is no mention of him on any of the write-ups regarding MI school football. His cousin(I said earlier brother but they are cousins) is getting a lot of hype. The father also seems to be pushing him to SU.
Seems something fishy is going on behind the scenes.
