Malik Miller got two CBs to Auburn last night and this morning, one from Keith Niebuhr.

I know we haven't been linked to him in a while, but just thought I'd share.

Hoover OLB Jeremiah Moon camped this weekend and left without an offer. It looks like he won't be getting one.

Alabama added commitments on Monday evening from Netori Johnson, 2017 offensive tackle from Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Ga., and DD Bowie, 2017 athlete from Morton High School in Miss. Both prospects camped at Alabama on Monday. Johnson earned an offer during camp. Bowie received an offer from Alabama during the spring, but was given the go-ahead after he performed today.

A few other prospects I was informed were standouts today included LSU commitment Tyler Shelvin, 2017 Rivals100 defensive tackle from Northside High School in Lafayette, La., Rashard Lawrence, Rivals100 defensive tackle from Neville High School in Monroe, La., and Michail Carter, four-star defensive tackle from Jackson High School in Miss.

An under the radar recruit- Riley Cole, linebacker from Oneonta High School in Ala., also caught the attention of the Alabama coaching staff.

The spring evaluation period including the regional Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour is in the books, and there have been significant changes up and down the Rivals100 and Rivals250 rankings.
On Monday, Rivals.com released the latest rankings of the top 100, which included a new No. 1 player in Wake Forest, N.C., defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence. Here is the revamped Rivals250 with a tremendous amount of players moving up, down and all around.

WR
Trevon Diggs

NEW RANK PREV. RANK DIFFERENCE

"Diggs, the younger brother of the former Maryland standout Stephen Diggs, has been on the scene for a while and is the engine that makes his high school team go. At the Rivals Camp Series stop in Richmond it was finally clear that this technique, footwork and overall playmaking abilities were better than we had originally thought. While it may not look like Diggs is moving fast, his smooth stride and deceptive burst leave defenders guessing."

"Kelly makes a big jump in this update, and it is deserved after we finally got a chance to see the Wichita native in-person. Measuring 6-foot-4 and 241 pounds at the St. Louis Rivals Camp, Kelly has a great build for a rush end and rare athleticism. We also liked that he was a quick study, going to school on his opponents and adapting his play as necessary."

"Yulee is an absolute beast in the middle of the field and knows how to hit, but the big thing with him has always been his weight. He showed up to the Rivals Camp Series in Richmond at about 235 pounds and if he can stay in that area he will be fast enough to be considered one of the elite linebackers in the country."

"Kraeling is a perfect example of a guy who gets overlooked because he shies away from the spotlight, but there's no doubting his talent as an offensive lineman. At 6-foot-8 and with incredible athleticism, he has the look of a future bookend tackle. He spurned SEC schools to commit to Duke and the Blue Devils landed an elite talent."

"Moss, son of NFL great Randy Moss, is a fantastic athletic prospect that can project to a number of different positions on the field. He will likely play tight end and, at his size, there isn't much he can't do. Moss is able to run like a 220-pound tight end and blocks like a 260-pound tight end."

So we might have a Cavin and a Calvin Ridley at some point? How confusing.

Channelview (Texas) dual-threat quarterback Jalen Hurts received an offer from the Texas A&M coaches in early March and remains one of the top prospects for the Aggies at the quarterback position in the 2016 class.

The standout prospect has collected nearly 20 FBS offers throughout the process and is now focused on four schools, including A&M.

"The schools that I'm focused on now are Texas A&M, Alabama, Mississippi State and Florida," Hurts said. "Every school is even right now, no school is standing out, but I can say that I'm headed to the SEC. I'm just enjoying the process because not every kid gets to do this and I'm blessed with these opportunities.

"I have already taken my visits to Texas A&M, Alabama and Mississippi State this off season. The only other visit that I might take moving forward would be to Florida, but I don't have anything setup at the moment."

Hurts continues to connect with the Texas A&M coaches and talked about his relationship with the Aggies' coaching staff.

"Coach (Jake) Spavital and Coach (Clarence) McKinney are the coaches that I connect with from A&M on a weekly basis," Hurts said. "We have already gotten to know one another and they are just wanting me to commit, basically. When we connect, they talk about getting me to join their recruiting class right now."

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound quarterback prospect also discussed the type of offense these four programs run and how he might fit into each offense at the next level.

"When it comes to the type of offense, I really feel that I could fit inot any type of offense and could work hard to accomplish what they need me to do at each of these schools," Hurts said. "Texas A&M runs a spread attack and that is something I'm used to running at Channelview. I think people mistake Alabama's offense for being a downhill attack, but they are starting to pass the ball more and doing whatever it takes to win on offense now."

A four-star prospect, Hurts is rated as the No. 8 overall dual-threat quarterback prospect, the No. 205 prospect in the latest Rivals250 rankings and the No. 25 prospect in the Rivals Texas Postseason Top 100 for the 2016 class.

He finished with 2,546 yards, 21 touchdowns and only six interceptions passing along with 941 yards and 19 touchdowns rushing, earning District 21-6A MVP, TSWA 6A All-State honorable mention and APSE 6A All-State honorable mention this past season.

From Malcolm Askew:

quote:

The four-star athlete knows where everything stands at this point with his recruitment.

"I will say Alabama has a slight edge over Auburn in terms of the in-state schools," Askew said. "I am still keeping the doors open. There isn't an overall leader, but I have been to Alabama so many times. I know everyone down there. That's why I say they have the in-state edge.

"I love their tradition. I love what they are doing down there. They continue to preach not only success on-the-field, but off-the-field. They want you to have the degree in your pocket. Football isn't always going to be there. They are worried about you being a great man and not just a great football player."

Askew may return to Tuscaloosa again on Wednesday. He will camp at Mississippi State on Thursday and Ole Miss on Friday.

Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence gets his chance to live up to and try to keep his new No. 1 spot. He's the third player already in the 2016 rankings to be named No. 1 following Nate Craig-Myers and Jacob Eason and there are plenty of players who will be pushing him, especially fellow defensive tackle Rashan Gary. Unfortunately, the nation's No. 3 player, defensive end Marlon Davidson, had to withdraw from the event due to a knee injury suffered in his spring game. Last year, three players earned a fifth star from their summer efforts and a great Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge performance and I think this year we could have a few gain but also a few drop that coveted honor.

Wide receiver Tyler Vaughns is the highest-ranked four-star in the country while linebacker Keion Joyner is the lowest-ranked five-star, so you know both will be bringing his 'A' Game.
