Bone tidbit on Tyrone Wheatley Jr.:

quote:

Additional note on Wheatley...

I spoke with our Michigan affiliate (very well connected) this morning. They said barring a last minute visit to Michigan (which is not expected at this time) they don't expect Wheatley in the the Wolverines class. I mentioned it above.

He also said Wheatley has a spot if he wants in.

I'd like to have another TE in this class. I bet Wheatley is a beast after the catch, considering who his father is.

If OJ has a huge year he could be gone to the league. Then we'd be looking around for more TEs.

That being said, I'd like to get Cece and one of the remaining OT targets over Wheatley. Not sure how many spots are left, but OT and DE are much more important positions than TE.

Keaton Anderson article

This kid is a hard worker and seems to have his head on straight, I really hope he is successful.

Marshawn Lynch today

This has nothing at all to do with Bama but it made me laugh.

I think it's odd that Prince didn't want to break a promise to Ohio State, so he lied to us. That's a convoluted way of thinking

Auburn is pushing Anfernee Jennings hard to take a visit to the Plains this weekend.

Tyrone Wheatley is on an OV to Michigan right now.

Bone's Michigan buddy must not be as good as he thinks.

The 5 biggest things that could happen on National Signing Day

1. Either Florida State or USC could jump Alabama with the No. 1 recruiting class this year. The Crimson Tide have held the top spot in the national recruiting rankings for the last five years, but if the Seminoles or Trojans can lock down their last remaining touted targets they could steal that No. 1 spot for themselves. USC could still sign five-star cornerback Iman Marshall, and FSU is on the brink of locking down a slew of four-star prospects still left unclaimed.

4. The SEC could have 13 of the top 30 recruiting classes in the nation and 14 of the top 40

5. Cece Jefferson will have the best signing day press conference of any prospect in the 2015 class. Jefferson has been as vocal as any recruit in the nation on social media, hyping up the schools he’s considering on a regular basis, as well as their fans. When he finally does announce his decision, be it on National Signing Day or another day near it on the calendar, expect some theatrics and drama to take place, and perhaps some deception as well as Jefferson finally brings his recruitment to an end.

With just one week left in the 2015 recruiting class, let’s take a look at the full schedule for National Signing Day.

Here’s an early look at the February 4th schedule, and if the times change, we’ll update those accordingly:

9 a.m.
DE Byron Cowart (ESPNU)
Finalists: Florida, Auburn, Florida State, Alabama

3 p.m.
DE Cece Jefferson (ESPNU)
Finalists: Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida State

would need 4 5* & 4 4* players, FSU would need 2 5* & 5 4* players to tie ustie right now. We'll lose a 3 & 4* pair of DBs, but add at least Carlot. If Prince leaves, we still won't land anything less than a 4, so I really doubt they jump us.

Am I reading this wrong or does it not make sense?

Thompson recruited him. Jennings is from his recruiting region of Alabama.

Yeah, I went back to the link and read it again. It is 13 of top 40. I cut it off copying it and thought it was a 20. HA! (corrected original post)

They made a big deal about all the team sites, and espnu, but they still really half-assed it, and never really hired anyone worth a damn.

Though, if a lot of these experts were really experts, they'd being getting paid 6 figures to work on a school/nfl team's scouting department.
