Senior Claire Jenkins tore her ACL in practice and will be out for the 2020 season. She had surgery Thursday morning performed by Dr. Lyle Cain of Andrews Sports Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.

That sucks. She's a hellava shortstop.

Big hit for the team. Who steps up in her place?

It'll have to be a younger player. I see nobody that started last year that could field that position.

Looking at the roster LINK it will be between Skylar Wallace (starter second base),Taylor Clark(Senior),and Savannah Woodard(Freshman from Hayden HS) unless an outfielder can move to infield.

Murphy seems to think Savannah can be a really good player and she played SS in HS.

Sorry for the misfire.

It won't be Skylar. She booted the ball all over the infield last season plus she doesn't have the range required to play SS.
