First of this week I bought tickets from a friend for below face. Since then, some plans have fallen through and it’s going to be less than an ideal trip for me, so I got online to try and sell my tickets. The prices are dropping and the major resellers can’t sell theirs, so the resell sites aren’t letting me sell mine, or they’re not letting me lower the prices to match the other comparable listings. I may never try to go to another title game after this. I’m furious.

Try TickPick. I used it for the 1st time selling these tickets and it was pretty easy and they had no floor on pricing.

Thank you. I may try that. Tried to upvote and it downvoted

No problem - good luck. I had tickets in the 400 endzone too, but mine were from TidePride at face value which sucked. I sold them on Thursday, I think, for like $410. I made them the cheapest tickets available and eventually they sold. Not fun, but better than trying to play the game and then looking up and seeing everything at $225 a pop or something.

Yeah, if it falls much further I’m just going to go anyway. It won’t be worth the lost money to resell.

Tickets will be going for under 200 by game day. Not a ton of people want to go to a cold city in January to watch a game that just got played a month ago. Either sell for a loss or better yet, just go support the guys.

For what it’s worth, it looks like ticket prices have plateaued and even risen a little. Not sure what’s going to happen in a day or two, but my section is up about $100 from when I bought, and my BIL’s section is up $150.

Yeah, and on a week night when everyone has just been off work for holidays. I’ve always thought it’s so stupid it’s on a Monday.

Who are you mad at? You bought the tickets. Either go or suck it up. Am I missing something?

Really wish college could find a way to get it played on a Saturday or Sunday but the NFL will never budge. I think our game against Texas was the last time a title game was on a Thursday. Would be nice to go back to that….especially those years when it seems like there’s a really quick turnaround between the semifinal games and the championship.

No, I’ll be watching from home.

Maybe we can have one next year in Baton Rouge.
