We got HITTERS!

WE NEED DEVELOPERS FROM A COACHING STANDPOINT.

EXAMPLE: We gave up on Herb Jones, John Petty, and Alex Reese..insert Nate Oats and all of a sudden their confidence grows and their development improves by leaps and bounds because Nate Oats is a developer.

Lol and how ahead of A&M? Should buy Murphy another year, even though Clemson won’t be easy at all.

This sounds awful. Why would we even want to do this to ourselves?

I haven’t watched a ton of Alabama softball this year, mostly because it’s been hard to watch.

I felt like I needed a shower after learning we were hosting a regional.

Dirty.

Any other teams with a losing conference record hosting? Has that ever happened before?

From what I’ve read, the last 3/4 hosting sites were a toss up - arguments for and against any of them. Bama’s losing conference record is glaring - but every SEC team made the post season (and 8 are hosting).

Bama’s highlights (from Twitter)
-Had a non-conf strength of schedule 49 spots higher than Texas A&M (who is hosting as the #16 seed)
-Had a 7 overall SOS (A&M: 33)
-Had 10 Q1 wins to A&M's 7
-No Q4 losses; A&M had one

If, truly, the last few hosting spots were up for grabs, I’m sure having one of the largest, nicest stadiums that will sell out and probably turn a profit didn’t hurt Bama’s chances. We’ve got it, now we need to demonstrate we deserved it. If Bama wins the regional, they will be heading to Tennessee for super regionals unless Tennessee stumble in their regional. (In which case Bama would host super regionals as well)

Hosting a regional in SB is akin to getting a new years day bowl in FB. Murph gets a new long term contract

We only hosting them because the NCAA softball people like Tuscaloosa as a host site.

Either way I doubt he gets fired. Two and out at your own regional may do it but our pitching is too good for that.
