down 5-0 top of 7. Looks like Beavers having another rough game. Two in a row.

Oh, the pain of Alabama softball. If this season isn’t currently in a death spiral I’m not sure a death spiral exists. Bama has scored in 1 of the last 28 innings played. I have no stats to back it up but this has to be one of the most historically impotent offenses in the history of the program. Very difficult to watch. Hopefully the darkest hour is truly just before dawn. Back at it tonight at 6 pm.

Alabama (31-13, 8-11 SEC) trailed 1-0 after a Tennessee (36-8, 15-4 SEC) sac fly RBI in the top of the first and the Lady Vols added two more in the top of the fifth and another pair with a home run in the seventh to bring the score to its eventual final tally of 5-0. The Crimson Tide had its chances, stranding seven on base including two in scoring position in the third and runners at first and second in the fourth.

"When we had first and second on with the top of the order due up, I really thought we were going to do something but the offense stalled. We have to play clean defense and can't give them anything extra, but their defense also made some highlights. Their outfielders stole a few hits from us with diving catches, so you have to tip your hat to them. In the first inning, [Kayla] Beaver had someone 0-2 and ended up walking her and then she scored later on. It's just little things like that here and there that allow us to get in our own way."

Ut up after top of 2 with an error by our SS. Appeared to be a routine hop she misjudged. So far one error and one great play by the 2B. Our batters look lost but this UT pitcher is tall and all legs.

21 straight innings without scoring a run.

Looks like the ladies are ready to head home for the summer. One hit today - a bunt by Kristen White. Maybe empty the bench tomorrow?

Alabama (31-14, 8-12 SEC) held Tennessee (37-8, 16-4 SEC) to just two runs but the Crimson Tide only managed one hit off Lady Vol starter Karlyn Pickens (17-5), a sixth-inning bunt single from Kristen White. For the second straight week, freshman Jocelyn Briski (7-3) threw a gem in the circle going 7.0 innings with just the two runs allowed, one earned.

"Jocelyn Briski gave us a great start. She has been excellent over the past few weeks and she gave us a good enough start to win the game tonight. We can't beat a really good team with just one bunt single. Their infield made a couple of great plays to take away potential hits. We can't give an offense like Tennessee extra outs like we did in the second inning because they took full advantage of it and scored. We have to be better in all phases tomorrow. Our offense needs to start to come through in the first and second innings, not the sixth and seventh."

Not sure who the next hire needs to be, but Murphy has made the same mistake that many of coaches do. He’s stayed too long and gotten complacent. He has had plenty of chances to adapt and change. He hasn’t. The game is always evolving. I think it’s best for both parties, to separate. A mutual uncoupling

Kind of feel sorry for Kayla Braud. Gave up her broadcasting career for this crapshow.

I think the poster who has been here the longest has the job of firing and then replacing Murph. Who would that be? Tidesaint. Boz? Pay starts at 500K

Harvard, Howard and Lehigh have better BA then Bama which right now is below 260. Revised stats has only one player over 300 and that being our slap hitter.
