Bama played this last game without their top 5 leading catchers from last year (Maze,Smelley,Richardson,Hanks and Bell)and the the rest of the season without the top 4. This year's passing game has broke all kinds of records (most TD's in a season and AJ is currently 1st nationally in pass rat)

Theres a chance AJ leaves, but it's not likely.12 of the 15 players that have caught passes this year will be back (Williams,Johnson and likely Lacy leave)and all 4 top wr's return. Both backup QB's will return and redshirt freshmen Alec Morris and two true freshmen QB's enter the mix. Chris Black,OJ Howard,Mcneil,Falkins and potentially Rob Foster/others enter the picture as well.

The Oline wont be as good, but next years pass game could be very special.

I think it will be very impressive next year with virtually everyone back. We lose Michael Williams at TE but add two dynamic athletes at he position in the 2013 signing class. I also think Brian Vogler and Harrison Jones will continue to develop there. We just need the new OL to gel.

The Oline is the sole concern I have about the offense next year. Unfortunately, that is a big concern. I feel confident in Cyko and Steen, and I think Arie is pretty good as well. Either Arie or Steen will have to move to left guard. I have no idea how capable Austin Sheppard, Kellen Williams, or Ryan Kelly are.

ETA: The success of the passing game in our offense is tremendously helped by the strength of the running game. If the Oline is not able to be as powerful next year, I would prepare for an overall dip in the offense.

Why would Steen move to LG? If Fluker doesn't come back that puts our only two returning starters on the left side, making the right side an open invitation to go crazy if you're the defense.

Watch out for Leon Brown coming out of JUCO. I feel like he could beat out Austin Shep for the RT job. Tunsil could always potentially see a chance over there, and we know he's a great pass protector.

If we can land Laremy Tunsil, he will have every opportunity to push Sheppard at RT. As will JuCo Leon Brown. However, I'm a bit concerned about the interior OL outside of Anthony Steen.

I think Arie/Alphonse are expected to battle for the LG spot, with an edge going to Arie right now. Center is almost certainly Ryan Kelly.

I was more of saying that they are both currently RG and one would need to switch. I thought it would be Arie but did not want to make any assumptions.

ETA: If we land Tunsil, is there any chance he plays LT after Cyko leaves?

Interior makes me a tad nervous, no more moving around starters. It's gonna be players we haven't seen play major snaps yet, which is a bit of a 1st in a while. Kelly will likely be the Center, but LG is wide open with so many possibilities. Steen has to take it to another level at RG, he has to be the linchpin inside.

Regarding the passing game, I think it has the potential to far surpass "the standard" at Alabama if everything holds intact. Bama isn't historically a known passing school, and I think they can put down a mark that won't be touched in a LONG time.

McCarron will have another year under Nuss, his stable of RBs should return(depth/health wise), and all his Receivers are back. TEs are a bit of a unknown, but Vogler has definitely played himself into contention for one TE spot.

And that's not even going in depth about the talent that's coming in...

It's wide open at this point, the backup tackles are even in contention for that spot.

Probably 100%. He's the top LT in his class just like CyKo for a reason. He's not as great as Cyrus was coming out, but he's definitely gonna be a good one. Really good in pass pro. Having him on the right side would be insane with Cyrus at LT, but Leon Brown is also solid, and probably a better run blocker than Tunsil.

But Shep has the experience with the team.

Stoutland is high on Brandon Greene at LT, he just needed a little more weight. Really athletic, ideal for a ZBS LT.

It would be him and, if he came to Bama, Tunsil for that spot...

If OJ turns out to be good, the O could go to another level. IMO thats what we have lacked on O for a while now.
A true passing threat there really helps redzone and key third downs. Even he does play true te, just a bunch formation as a freshman.

We've had tough, physical OL's since 2008. I expect that to continue next year.
