Moved to #11 in RPI! Take the series at the Barn, then get a win or two in Hoover and we could very well be hosting a Regional.

I think we’d have to sweep Auburn and then probably get to at least the semis in Hoover to have any chance at hosting.

I do think winning 2/3 should cement us as at least a 2 seed.

Bama put in a bid to host. Season ticket holders get first shot at requesting tix should Tuscaloosa be chosen. General public tix will go on sale Tuesday May 28th at 10 am. Pack the Joe!

We definitely would have to sweep Auburn. Our other big issue is that while we are #11 in RPI we are #6 in the SEC in RPI and are #16/#7 SEC in KPI (the other metric the committee uses).

It's going to be hard for them to give 7 hosts to the SEC. They're definitely going to give 1-2 to the west (Oregon State, UCSB, UCI). They're probably going to give one to a mid-major (likely Indiana State). The ACC has 4-5 teams that will likely host (UNC, Clemson, Wake, FSU/UVA). The BXII will get at least 1-2 hosts. ECU is probably goin to host.

So that leaves the SEC with probably 6, MAYBE 7 host spots. Kentucky, A&M, UGA, Arkansas, Tennessee are all locks. That leaves 1-2 spots left. Mississippi State is next in line given their KPI, conference record and solid RPI.

So our only shot is they go to 7 SEC hosts, and it will be either us or South Carolina. I'd be shocked if they give us a host spot if we have a losing SEC record (even though our conference schedule was the toughest conference schedule maybe in college baseball history), so we have to sweep Auburn and get to 15-15.

If we lose Bronny after losing Shelton and Holman, I’ll probably just stop following college baseball.

What would really be the point?

True.

This team might be a top 8 seed with those two. Just sucks overall.

B2

3 LOB already.
LH pitcher for the Barn is wearing out our LH hitters. Lebron had a 2b in the 1st and Guscette singled in the 2nd.
