Did y’all know that Auburn supported their team on Saturday in a big rivalry game even though they are 6-6? Nobody in the history of sports has ever done that apparently.

What in the world are the Auburn Fans doing with the swaying and singing after the game? Is it some kind of ritual to find solace?

They also love their school...its not just football to them.

I do not comment much on what people post on the FB but I could not resist. I said that argument was trite, short-sighted and a coping mechanism by Auburn alum. That I loved my University just as much as anyone. The women's rowing team, adapted athletics, the campus and history, football, all of it. And that they (Auburn alum) compares themselves to Alabama fan. If I were to compare Alabama Alum to Auburn fan I can make the same dumb judgement.

I read al.com today, I know my first mistake, and Goodman is talking about how the future favors auburn after the Iron Bowl.

I had to recheck...did Bama win it or not?

Except against NMSU 7 days before, when the stands were empty.

Auburn is the master of taking credit for doing something literally every other college does and claim that it’s unique to them.

They’re also a godly program….except when they try to gin up rumors that a coach had an affair with a staffer because he didn’t win enough so they hire another coach who was fired for hiring escorts for himself and/or recruits.

They really are a bunch of weirdos. People like to poke fun of A&M and their weird traditions (rightfully so) but they also need to take a look at the bovine crew on the other side of the state. For those of us that live with them we are kind of used to it and this is why I enjoy the Iron Bowl victories over the TSIO victories more.

I feel like sometimes I'm the only person that has a memory that lasts longer than 24 hours. Do ppl not remember Harsin? His first season he took a much worse Auburn team and went 4 OTs vs Bama...the next season he was fired.

Now I'm not saying that will happen with Hugh but come on...that Iron Bowl being close in his first year isn't indicative of anything.

Also I keep hearing how much Auburn outplayed Bama. Alabama outgained Auburn 451-337. It should have never been close if we go up 14-0.

The Jordan Hare voodoo isn't the crazy plays. It's Alabama always killing it's own drives in the redzone with conviently timed penalties(cough) or dumb playcalling.

In my experience most of the Auburn fans who pull the "unlike you stupid Gumps I love the school, not just the football team" after a loss never actually attended Auburn. It's one of my favorite quirks about their fanbase. They're like the one place where it's normal for sidewalk fans to look down on the sidewalk fans of other teams. Auburn is a haven for people who feel the need to be different in any way they can find. They are all T-Bob Hebert's Paris and art rant, but with just enough dignity not to say it out loud.

Their ring ceremony is the best example to people who don't know how strange Auburn is. It really is a cult, whether they want to admit it or not.

I have a friend, who is an Auburn fan, swears al.com is biased towards Alabama.

Auburn is Texas A&M as a closeted gay southerner

It's pretty obvious Liverpool FC is the World's equivalent of Auburn, they just don't know it.

SEC Shorts, take notes.

Wut!?! Why does the seal that gives them spirit also curse them. Seems like there is a missing part to the story a la 1. Collect Socks 2.???? 3. Profit.

The rings need to be placed on the seal to gain the spirit? Are they Green Lanterns or something?
