He is already projected as a 1st round pick. If he doesn’t have a total meltdown this year he probably makes that a reality.

How do they help him? Keep coaching him, keep working on mechanics, keep studying film. What a lot and I mean a lot of people don’t realize is the off season is 90% on the player. Knowing that Milroe works his arse off and has never backed down to a challenge.

With his athleticism and arm strength he could be a great QB not just good.

He’s not projected as a first round pick, lol

Maybe if you’re looking at meme draft lists that haven’t done any actual draft analysis and just pick popular players. Like the ones that say Shedeur Sanders is the first overall and Shilo sanders is a late first

Jalen milroe is at best a slightly worse version of Vince Young. I hope the guy plays lights out this year but I expect a lot of growing pains for the team.

I mean, he is. It’s all over the internet with a quick search. I’m not saying it’s going to happen but the buzz is there.

That's about the nicest thing anyone could ever say about him. Vince Young led his team to a national title, was a Heisman finalist, and had perhaps the singles greatest performance in a national title game in college football history.

Part of the reason 2nd rounder tier QBs in most drafts went 1st round this year is because the franchises think the 2025 QB class could be among the worst in recent memory.

To earn a first-round NFL draft selection, Milroe will have to show significant improvement as a pocket passer, but he has a head coach in Kalen DeBoer who can develop his accuracy and anticipation and, of course, already boasts elite size and athleticism. Milroe will be one of the most fascinating and closely scrutinized prospects in the country next season

That's a realistic assessment

Anthony Richardson was picked 4th overall last year. He completed 54% of his passes his last year and was under 50% in 1/3 of his games. He's bigger than Milroe, but in terms of passing ability he's nowhere near as polished.

Milroe absolutely can be a 1st round pick.

I have never seen a guy get shite on so much as Milroe.

That just proves first round picks don't say much about college performance.

Thank you for proving my point by listing “way too early” mock drafts that blindly list players. Fox having Hunter at #2 as a 160 lb CB is hilarious when his draft value is far better at WR.

Anthony Richardson was inaccurate but a far better runner than Milroe and he could actually go through progressions/throw over the middle. He was closer to Josh Allen than anything. Milroe would need a year like Hurts to move himself up the board, showcasing the ability to throw anywhere on the field and to do it quickly.

Milroe has performed MUCH better than Richardson in college so far. Richardson was arse for the most part.

It's not about stats, it's about what the player showcases in terms of QB development. Can Milroe go through progressions like Richardson? Can he make pre-snap reads? Can he adjust the line and/or hot route? What does his tape show us? An inability to throw over the middle and throw with anticipation?

Again, this is why Josh Allen was a top 10 pick despite having a 56% completion rate. This is why 5'11 Bryce Young went #1 overall over a 6'4 CJ Stroud. You can throw for 4,000 yards out of Mike Leach's offense and it means absolutely nothing if your tape is showing issues like this

Congratulations, Milroe has a live arm. That means absolutely nothing if he's unable to use it consistently. Richardson's athletic ceiling was sky high and the general opinion was his inaccuracy was fixable. Being a year four quarterback and unable to do rudimentary tasks, is not going to be viewed anywhere the same as sloppy footwork.

So if Richardson could do all of that in college better than Milroe, then why did he have such a hard time completing a forward pass?

Right, because Tommy Rees's offense is such a great example of an offense like that.

People act like Milroe is incapable of going through progressions, but I saw him do it on several plays last season. Did he struggle with it? Yeah, but he got better as the season went along, and its something that he is capable of improving on.

If Jalen was so bad how did he complete close to 64% of his passes.

You serious Clark? I explained it, footwork and mechanics. Its not like it wasn’t plastered on the front page when he was going through the draft process

It doesn’t matter if Milroe can hit his target, so could Malik Willis. Does he know when to throw, where to throw it, does he do it in a quick manner, does he struggle progressing through his reads, etc. A ton of guys can throw a quick spiral but it doesn’t matter if you can’t actually do anything with it

Can Saint or someone anchor this? It's nothing but circular arguments being repeated over and over. Nobody is changing anybodys mind and it's become a useless thread.
