I think we we try so many of the 40+ yard FGs that it sort of gets in the kickers heads. I have no basis for that opinion though.
That said, I wouldn't be opposed to going Necessary Roughness here and get a female soccer player. If a scholarship player can't kick a chip shot against a cupcake, then you don't have a good kicker.

The 2016 kicker is supposed to be #1. But we will lose another NC this year because of what we have.

Saban can say what he wants about the fans having confidence in the kickers and not bagging on them, but what does it say when he goes for it on fourth down three times in the game? Each time when we were ostensibly in FG range for average kickers.

I wouldn't let him kick another FG outside of straight on 20 yards or less.
