They're coming to Birmingham in November, so I'm going.
Caught them in Birmingham last October at Iron City. Bought two hits from a dude named Fluffy at 11:00 and the show ended around 1:00. That was a fun cab ride down 280.

see I haven't seen them since 2013 in Atlanta and I heard they have some new girl in the band now. I'm stoked. I plan on pregaming, bringing my flask, then of course see what Birmingham has to offer.

Can't quite recall if it was her, but I remember seeing a new bassist who was running up and down the neck just killing it. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Compared to 10 years ago it's a completely different city in terms of nightlife. Vastly underrated. For its size, it might be the best city for eating in the entire South.

Saw Isbell up here and was blown away by how good the show was. Awesome venue too. Capitol theater. Lots of history there. Sturgill made it up here last summer but I didn't get a chance to see him. Hopefully will next time he ventures north.
Are those two playing together at the amphitheater?

Yes. Not sure if it's a joint show or just a dual headliner. Isbell is playing with John Prine in Hunstville two weeks beforehand, too. Not missing that.

Damn. I may have to fly down for that.

Yeah I keep up with city development pretty heavily, as well as express my opinion on what would make it better. Birmingham's downtown has a shite ton of activity going on right now with the total cost estimated up to $600 million dollars.
