Jonathan allen
Ashawn robinson
Eddie jackson
Derrick Henry
OJ Howard

Every year we seem to keep an important player who could go pro, and it helps us keep continuity. Last year it was ragland. I'm thinking this year it could be robinson. He's having a solid but kind of quiet junior season. I'm hoping jackson will come back too, but with the season he's having and his injury history i think he would almost have to leave if he gets a decent grade. Pretty sure howard will come back, henry is gone. Allen is probably going to be highly valued due to his combo of size, strength, and pass rush ability

I'd be surprised to see these stay
Jonathan allen
Ashawn robinson
Derrick Henry

this guy needs to stay but might not
OJ Howard

This guy would be making a mistake to go.
Eddie jackson

I'm not down on Eddie it's just that the NFL Doesn't train people. You either show up ready to start or they toss you out with the trash. Jackson needs every year he can if he wants a chance to stick. This is also his first year at safety and he's still learning.

My main concern is at Defensive End where we will likely have two decent starters in Tomlinson and Hand and ...... what?? Currently the next player to come in is currently in high school (Quinnen Williams) Unless the coaches know something I don't we are in trouble at defensive end and will be playing guys who are really DT's at the position next year.

Jackson needs to come back. If he goes this year, he's a mid-to-late round pick at best. Maybe UDFA. If he comes back and repeats this year's performance he's a first two rounds pick.

Howard's iffy. He could improve his stock with another good season, but it could also drop if he repeats last year.

Jonathan Allen
Ashawn Robinson
Derrick Henry

They gone, and good for them. Nobody should be so selfish as to want to keep them from cashing in.

Most likely to least likely:
Jackson
Howard
Allen

Robinson and Henry will be gone.

Howard hasn't had the on-field production, but his measurables are ridiculous and that alone could get him drafted on the first day. I'm not sure Allen will stay unless he is dead-set on getting a 1st round grade.

Yep, we just offered a JUCO kid out of Western Arizona and there has been some talk of Ryan Anderson moving to DE for his final season (similar to what we did with XD).

Anfernee Jennings is on campus. Josh Frazier, OJ Smith, Johnny Dwight are all capable of playing DE on run downs. Tim Williams is already playing DE technically on pass downs. We'll be alright. Tomlinson and Hand could be the best duo in the country. It's hard to have the type of depth we have this year every year.

No way dude.

If Jackson continues having the year he is having, he is a top 2 round pick now.

Kiper Jr. was just on 94.5 yesterday gushing over Jackson, saying that he will be high on his big board the next go around.

He was saying that the fact that he has the coverage skills of a CB, and how he is thriving at safety makes him very attractive to NFL teams.

I hope I am wrong, but I could definitely see Jackson taking off after the season.

It isn't that I don't think he's good enough. IMO, he's already the best safety Bama's had in recent memory - which includes the guy currently starting for the Giants.

I just don't see him going very highly with only one season at safety. As someone said upthread, the NFL isn't a training league and teams aren't going to use an early round pick on a guy with such a small body of work.

Going back to your first response, I hope not. The secondary would be should-be-against-the-law good if he comes back along with all the young guys.

If he does go, I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

The only think keeping Henry from staying is that he is a running back with limited carries in his body. Not that he's an elite draft pick.

I don't get the hype that he's a top 3 back. He'll go in the 4th or 5th round.

He's a decent college back, and I wish he'd stay.

They legitimately do this all the time in the NFL draft.

Would be huge to have Howard back, but like someone said earlier, his measurable will have scouts persuading him to leave.

Tim Williams is a junior is he not? He could stay, but the year he's having, he'll likely go.

Glad we have freshman like Humphrey, Minkah, Payne, Harrison, Ridley, and Piersbacher contributing
